Amazing food and atmosphere. Very fine menu with fresh ingredients that make for an excellent meal. The dessert was absolutely incredible and one of the best slices of pizza I've ever had.
Brewery on the Peninsula overlooking the bay. Didn't try the food but tried the beers. Didn't know all their beers are sour. Only non-dour beers were bottled beers from North Peak Brewery. Not into sour beers so can't say much there. However tried their gin.. I was pleasantly surprised how good it is. Bought a bottle. Can't wait to try it in a dirty martini!
The most important thing I wish was in other reviews...this place is NOT on the water! It is behind another restaurant. There is a beautiful forest view, but we came here specifically because we saw pictures of a bay view. Not false advertising on their part, but the map and pics made it look that way. When we asked if we could sit outside, we were told more than once that the outdoor area was fine dining while JP was more casual (I think this was their nice way of saying we didn't belong out there). The food was good. We LOVED the white pizza. My kids both liked their steak and fries. We were a little disappointed that there were no other cooked veggie options than squash for the kids. There is a brussel sprout salad on the menu, but they would not sub the squash with sprouts. My husband was not impressed by either IPA he had and he's an IPA nut. I liked my wheat bear. Overall, we would return but might dress better to try the outdoor restaurant.
It’s so worth driving out on the peninsula even if it’s just to stop here. Along the way you get to see lots of cool vineyards and then end up at a place with great food and drinks. Lots of sours on the beer menu, but they also have a variety of other styles of sours aren’t your thing. I’m not sure what the season the chips with, but I couldn’t stop eating them. I ordered a salmon special that was amazing. The restaurant itself has a very relaxed atmosphere
