Contemporary salad options, with tons of fresh ingredients to choose from! I “created my own” salad and it was very fairly priced and so DELICIOUS! Also, Jan was very kind and I loved hearing how and why she started Salad Co.
I will definitely be returning :)
Friendly & fast service. The BEST kale anywhere! It’s massaged with olive oil & sea salt, then cut in small pieces. The owner tries to buy local produce when possible. They put love into seasoning & cutting their veggies as the corn is grilled & cut off the cob. Always New recipes. Good size salad & very filling! LOVE!
What a pleasant surprise! Don’t let the building’s history dissuade you from trying this great place. The inside is fresh, bright and well decorated-very clean too! Lots of wonderful fresh and healthy options. Can’t wait to come back.
Stopped in for the first time today. I love this place! I was able to build a salad the way I like it, not how somebody thinks it should be. Added bonus for me was that they had green olives! Owner recommended the poppy seed dressing, it did not disappoint. Store was clean and staff was very friendly.
Menu options include sandwiches, soup, build your own salad (actually they build it as you tell them what you want) and preset salad options. I went with the build your own. The greens and other veggies were generally good and fresh and there was a large selection. The cost for a salad with chicken added was $11, pretty good by TC standards. There are a few tables inside but no ambience, and it’s also noisy. Room for improvement: better tomatoes, fresher carrots, reheat chicken on the grill before serving.
But to me the problem here is that everything is served on single use “disposable” plastic with plastic utensils. Even if you’re eating in. We don’t need more plastic trash! And I find it difficult to slice anything with a knife that bends. If there was a dressing bar where you could put the dressing on yourself it would avoid using even more plastic containers and allow the customers to use exactly the amount they want. Please, there are better options!
