I absolutely love eel sushi! I certainly got my money's worth of sushi! I even tried some that I've never had before :)
Egg, pickled radish, and salmon sushi were all delicious! I found this place by looking for somewhere to go for my birthday dinner. I am so glad I gave this place a chance!
Average to below average Chinese food, fairly bland. I had hot and sour soup, which was neither hot nor sour, very thin with very little taste, an egg roll which was actually very good, and the almond boneless chicken. The place was empty, service was still very slow. Got a glass of ice tea in the beginning of our meal and never offered a refill for 20 minutes until I asked. Waitress was mostly in the back doing who knows what, and seemed very uninterested in waiting on us. My friend had the sushi and swears it's the best around.
The people here were very friendly and accommodating.
We ordered the following:
Shrimp Tempura Roll
Vegetable Bean Curd Soup
Shrimp in Lobster Sauce
Some Noodle Pasta I forgot the name ????
I loved their rolls. It was tasty and cruncy. Also, it was filled with flavor. I was not much a fan of the noodles and soup because it lacked in flavor for me.
The Shrimp in Lobster Sauce was delicious especially with rice. It was very flavorful.
Overall, the experience was great. I believe it could be better.
★★★★★ Out of the Way But WORTH The EFFORT! ★★★★★
I recently visited Panda North and ordered my favorite dish, Singapore Noodles. They Singapore Noodles dish is OUTSTANDING! Their serving size was so large, I made two meals out of it and I'm a big eater. Their location is in a mini mall area that is no longer in its prime however, this shouldn't stop you from making the effort to eat here. The proprietors are very friendly and inviting. We truly enjoyed our dining experience here. It is true that some of the best eateries are in out-of-the-way or "hole in the wall" places. Panda North qualifies as a diamond in the rough Chinese restaurant. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!
Wow. Surprise little place. Totally worth it but few things to know.
1. Seems like it is a seat yourself atmosphere most of the time. They aren’t clear on the procedure so make sure you get there attention.
2. Ask questions. Staff is super friendly and willing to help. Even adjust our meal to help with special diet.
3. Sushi was great for Northern Michigan.
Enjoyed our experience.
