Saw this place on the PBS show "Under the radar." I came to Traverse City on vacation and had to try it. Very impressed. The waiter that we had was top notch. We had a two year old with us and he made sure that her food came out first.( Very important). We never had to wait for a drink and the food was of quality ingredients and fresh. Will definitely come back!
Oh my God I loved the beer choices here, there are a lot different than the rest of the ones in town. We only ever ate the cheese curds which were amazing, but everything else that got delivered to people looked delicious and like a good value. I'm super bummed I never got to try the nachos. The only thing that this place is missing is games or activities, at least for me... My husband and I like to have something to do while we drink.
We stopped by on the kayak and bike beer tour and had a nice time - enjoyed the outdoor patio and beer. We had the smoked trout dip which was tasty. We ordered a flight, and didn't get a tray, so we really didn't know what we were drinking.
The service, the beer and the place were great. All servers knew their beers and drinks fully. The place is very clean and the few customers that we ended up meeting were really nice. My husband is a "true beer lover" and he loves his IPA's. We have been traveling now for 5 months and must have gone to about 35 different breweries since we left Florida. My husband has rated this place "Rare Bird" one of his top five favorite breweries.
Came here on a Wednesday night, wasn’t too busy. They have an awesome vegetarian selection! Loved the beer and the food was too good, the only thing I would change is the tortilla for the fried avocado. Definitely stopping by again whenever we get back to TC.
