My girlfriend and I were visiting Grand Rapids for the night and had such a good experience with Brick and Morter. The fries are incredible and the wrap and burger were all top notch. Hopefully we can come back and eat there in person next time.
Megan or if that's how you spell it? Was a fantastic server, made our whole group feel at home "only 5" even though it was outdoor dining we all had a fantastic time. Will be back!
The mac and cheese is among the best I have had in town. Their fried chicken sandwich called the bomb.com is phenomenal. They also have a diverse draft selection. The service consistently rises above expectations. I always look forward to a Brick and Porter experience.
Stopped here for lunch one day. They had a huge outdoor seating area, which was pretty full for lunch time. Just got a simple chicken wrap and side of Mac and cheese, both were 5 stars! The bartender that took my order was friendly too. Can’t wait to visit here for dinner and a few drinks too!
Tried a new place for dinner and wasn't disappointed!
The beer menu had a lot of variety and I was able to enjoy four beers from different breweries. They have a food menu that has many different options as well. I ordered the Seoul Brother's Beef Stir Fry and it was delicious! The steak was tender and the vegetables were cooked but still crisp. The portion was reasonably sized where I left feeling satisfied but not uncomfortably full.
The interior is very appealing to the eye. Lots of exposed brick and wood without being too dark.
The only real downside to my visit was the speed of service. I've waited tables in the past and I'm a patient guy, but I waited longer than I would've liked for my server to return to the table. They were a bit busy and possibly understaffed for the night, so it wasn't a big problem.
All in all, Brick and Porter is a great restaurant. If you're looking for a variety of drinks and food, this is your stop! Just be sure to have a little patience too!
