Forty Pearl

Forty Pearl is a low key local venue offering an intimate dinning experience. The decor embodies modern elegance with a fantastic wine display. The menu isn’t overwhelming and is loaded with simple but wonderfully tasty dishes. The service was fantastic. The staff were friendly and attentive. Perfect place for a date. Well worth checking out!!

The food, the cocktails, the service, and the atmosphere were fantastic. We all enjoyed the appetizers which come in large, shareable portions with the frizzed asparagus and light fried cheese curds being favorites. The cocktail selection was a great accompaniment. The entree choices which include anything from sandwiches to complete dinners provide plenty of variety and a true taste of Michigan and the north woods. From a fried bologna sandwich, to walleye and duck, the latter though not perfect with slight hints of fishiness and gaminess in parts, still get a highly recommended from our crew!

Perfect. This is our go to place to impress our friends and family or where we go when we are in the mood for nice atmosphere and a great meal. I try to get something new every time and have yet to be disappointed. Simply the best!

The food is incredible! We were really impressed by so many items, the cheese curds, the smelt, the brussels sprouts, and the red pepper tomato soup. The drinks were great and primarily used Michigan ingredients. The location is convenient for downtown events and there is a parking ramp about 300 feet to the east. We will be back soon!

An excellent experience!

My husband and I enjoyed every morsel of our superb lunch. We started with the Fizz Fried Asparagus & Lake Fish Chowder; proceeded to the Fried Bologna Sandwich & Perch Rueben and all washed down with two house crafted cocktails: a Margarita & the other drink which memory now fails me.

The service was a three-pointer. Audrey, our server, was gracious, endearing and meticulous. Taylor, our host, exuded an easy-going and charming personality making us feel very much at home. The outdoor dining was a HUGE plus, as well.

We will definitely return!
