Max’s South Seas Hideaway

This place was so awesome!! The atmosphere, the food and the drinks! Our server Derek M was to best!! One of the best servers I have ever had!! He was very attentive to us, removing empty dishes and constantly filling my water (which is so important for me). We will definitely be back!!!

This was a really cool place, with an awesome interior aesthetic. I especially liked the booth layouts as they feel very cozy and private from other patrons but can very comfortably seat a group of six. The drinks were delicious and we enjoyed the s'mores dessert fire/experience very much. My only qualm was that it's a bit pricey and while the experience was fun, it's definitely a sometimes treat for us to go here.

I love Max’s, and have been here quite a few times. Each time I’ve had amazing service. Food was amazing per usual and the drinks were phenomenal as always. However, our service tonight from Elijah was very disappointing and lack luster to say the least. It was our anniversary dinner, so we wanted to splurge and have a good night (and drop a lot of money on dinner..$125) well our server was basically invisible all night. Asked us for our food order and before my significant other could answer he walked away and put my order in and didn’t come back. So I got my food before his and he had to wait about 30 mins before he was able to get his food. It seemed like he was trying to rush us out at first until we started ordering more drinks. Then another bartender took over when I think he noticed he was neglecting our table. Our server wasn’t very friendly, seemed arrogant and didn’t seem to like us there. I’ve been in customer service before and I get it but at a higher scale establishment like Max’s I have a little more higher expectations since every time I’ve been it’s been beyond my expectations by far. I hope he was just having an off day. I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt.

This place is dope. They went all out on the decor. Try the Zombie cocktail.

Loved the atmosphere and entire experience at Max's South Sea Hideaway! As soon as you walk in the door, its like stepping into a Hawaiian paradise. All of the tiki decorations and music are outstanding and its just amazing how it all comes together so well. The drink menu is extensive! You'd think that the big menu on the table is for food but no, its all drinks. I had a such a hard time deciding which to try first, luckily our server was very helpful. When it came time to order food our server was helpful yet again in helping us decide. I ordered the huli huli ribs and my date ordered the poke dip - both were amazing! Even though there was a slight mix up with our food (we received another tables food) they made it right by giving us free dessert which was the tableside bonfire!
We even got a private tour of the upstairs portion of the restaurant (which was closed on the day we went).
I cannot say enough good things about Max's! We will definitely be going back soon.
