“I really enjoy this restaurant. Is it authentic Mexican food? No, no it's not. But it is really tasty. They used to have a location in Dorr, Michigan and my mom and I used to eat there all the time. Coming here not only satisfies my hunger, but also comforts the soul with the Mexican I have growing up. I would recommend this to anyone.”

“It was very good but not great. They have a Chinese and Vietnamese side to each menu and offer more the the Chinese food for lunch specials. The menu is not very descriptive and I had to ask what was in several items listed. she seemed a little bit annoyed by this but there was also some difficulty with her understanding and speaking English. We started with the fresh spring rolls. If you dont know what these are, stop everything you are doing right this minute and find the nearest Vietnamese restaurant and order them. They are a staple. These were pretty darn good as fresh rolls go. The sauce they made for them is usually a peanut based sauce that i really enjoy but this one had some ingredient that was giving it an off taste to me. My son got the beef Pho and it was ok. Nothing special as Pho goes but worth ordering and trying. Came with the usual accompaniments. I ordered a vermicelli noodle soup that had pork, and shrimp but you wouldst know from the menu as it wasn't very descriptive as i mentioned above. The dish was tasty and I enjoyed the noodles with a firm texture. The broth was very flavorful and was good with the beansprouts and basil and jalapeno slices on the side. It was worth trying but next time I would try another place just because I like to experience different restaurants”

“I was excited to dine here since it had been awhile since I had been to Judson’s. My friend and I started off at the bar for a drink before dinner. I wanted to order a Prickly Pear Martini, but was told by the bar tender, “Nope, nope, I can’t do that one.” I thought he was being sarcastic at first, but then he said the restaurant was changing to the spring menu, so they were out of the ingredients to make the drink. That’s fine, but I felt I should have been told, “I’m sorry but we’re out of those ingredients. Can I make you something else?” He kept trying to to push the 1/2 of wine, but I really wanted a martini. I ended up ordering a German Chocolate Cake Martini, which was great! While my friend and I were enjoying our drinks, he kept swearing with/at another person at the bar, who I assumed was a regular. I admit, I can swear with the best of ‘em, but I expect a little more couth from a place like Judson’s. During dinner, I ordered the Lobster and Caviar Deviled Eggs, Brussels Sprouts and Prime Baseball Sirloin Oscar, which was all great! I did end up getting the 1/2 off wine, which I felt would be “easier” for the bar tender. Jacob was our waiter and did a great job! He was prompt and was very personable.”

I have a dairy allergy and their dairy-free cheese is awesome & would definitely recommend. We had it on the 'South Pacific' pizza and it was so flavorful. “When I checked in, I was asked about the breakfast vouchers ($5 for beverages and any menu entree), but I needed to check whether the options satisfied food allergies in our party. I was told I could add these up to midnight, and could check the menu and ask questions in the restaurant prior. It was a fairly hectic moment at check in [LPGA tour in Gra d Rapids, baseball tournaments, soccer tournaments, PRIDE events - all good, but busy]. When I came down later (in a lull) to get breakfast vouchers, the front desk staff actually said, "So you were able to find items that worked for your food allergies on the menu?" And he even remembered our room numbers! Talk about impressive! Our waitress, Betty, was informed about the cooking process and also brought the food allergy item out first; we were impressed again. All in all, a good stay in our books!”

Every ingredient tasted very fresh and prepared from scratch. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We got right in with no wait during peak time on a Saturday night.
