“So glad I got the opportunity to visit the Speedy Bear Diner located in Irons Michigan. It was great to see the complete renovation of this diner under new ownership. The addition of a drive through, along with state of the art cooking equipment, delivered hot food to my table within 5-10 minutes of placing my order. The staff at Speedy Bear Diner is working very hard to serve their guests with friendly smiles and great service. I was looking forward to writing a review of the diner because I knew their menu was extensive and I payed attention to other orders being placed by customers. Everything from burgers, to pizza, and the special of the day was a meat loaf dinner. The staff did an awesome job with the orders and the food was great. My double beef mushroom burger was juicy and delicious. Cooked just right and served hot. I highly recommend a visit to Speedy Bear Diner. I can’t wait to go back and try the breakfast menu. “I’m sorry, for any bad experiences that anyone has here. It is totally out of my hands.There are a lot of things going on at the moment. Unfortunately, the usual kitchen and severing staff aren’t at the cafe, nor am I. It is under new management at the moment. I have worked for Joe, for 14 years and longer for the cafe. It saddens me that all this is happening, the cafe has always been my home. The staff and I have prided ourselves on giving the public the best food and service to our ability. “The food was excellent but our waitress was grumpy she did not seem like she was happy she did not seem like she was enjoying herself she was hardly personable with our group and actually scolded me for cleaning up my area and pushing my dishes to the side in efforts to help her when she came around to bus the table. I have been coming to Club 37 for the past 30 some years maybe 40 every summer and in the past we were treated like gold so please have a meeting with your waitresses and help them to realize that they as well as the restaurant will receive better tips and better reviews if they treat the customers a lot better than this one we had last weekend because if they can't stand the Heat outside of the kitchen then maybe they should be assigned a different job because the waitresses AR the 1st and front most contact with your customers and the number one people in your organization who will leave the ultimate impression on your guests.”

“The place was understaffed and the service was very slow. We were there for over two hours. The food was so bad I will never go back there again. I ordered a patty melt. It was a $9 sandwich. I got a half sandwich with soggy rye bread. The hamburger tasted like it had been soaked in some kind of onion broth. The onions on the burger were fished out of the French onion soup. The chips that were served with the burger tasted like potato chips that had been put into the deep fryer. My sister ordered a taco salad that she did not eat. The meat was mealy and barely warm. The food was overpriced for what you got and it tasted terrible. We should have been paid to eat that food.”

“Just had our 1st round of pasties at home (beef) that we bought back in July. They stayed great in the freezer. We baked ours for 20 min at 375 and the crust was golden brown and still flaky. And the inside was still moist (especially the roast beef), just like it was fresh. Cant wait to visit again in the summer!”
