Market 22

My wife and I ate here breakfast and dinner the past 3 days while vacationing in Northern Michigan. Market M22 is a true gem. Melanie and Nell have built an incredible eatery and local gathering spot. The food supports locally sourced farms and suppliers and you can tell. Fresh, fresh, fresh and very well prepared. The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. The atmosphere is very cool and comfortable. During our stay we had pizzas, salads, hamburgers, veggie burger, pancakes, eggs benny and a number of pastries and ALL were delicious. This isn't fast food, this is GREAT FOOD and great food takes a few minutes more, but it's worth it. Great coffee as well! We also sampled a few of their locally crafted beers that didn't disappoint. This will be our go to spot whenever we visit NW Michigan. Every once in a while you come across a place that's special, and that's exactly what Market M22 is.

This place is WONDERFUL. We came here 3 days in a row and had something different each time. All of the food was delicious, the drink selection is great, the atmosphere is lovely, and all of the staff were friendly, helpful, and fast. I can not recommend this place enough—it will be a priority to stop here every time we’re in the area!

I really can’t say enough good things about this little gem in the county. The food is ALWAYS consistent and so delicious. Happy to drive out of my way any day to get that pizza. Hands down best pizza in the county if you like Detroit style. The owners, Neal and Melanie, are awesome people born and raised in the area who have brought a great market to a spot that really needed it and will hopefully remain a staple in the community for many many years to come.
Also great selection of beer, wine, snacks and essentials! Cute space to boot. We love sitting out on the deck overlooking little traverse lake. Tough spot to beat!

You must stop here if you're in the area! I had a fantabulous grilled cheese sandwich that was cooked to perfection, crispy and golden brown. I also had a bloody Mary with my meal, which was worth the stop alone! You can order your bloody Mary (spicy or regular). And the best part is they make their own bloody Mary mix. I love spicy things... but just a heads up you might want to try the spicy mix before you order one, wowza!!

I can't wait to go back and try more items off from the menu. Everything sounded and looked amazing!

I’ve eaten pizza, pastrami sandwiches and ruebens here. Food is excellent, but..... they do take the “slow food” idea a bit far. Very few people in the place and it took 25 minutes for 1 sandwich order. Tip to cook. That griddle can accommodate more than 1 sandwich at a time ????. I’ll keep going because the food is so good!
