Large restaurant right on the lake. They were one of the few nicer places still open at the end of the season. Most other shops and restaurants were already closed. Enjoyed drinks and a nice meal from their varied menu. Desserts available too. Reasonably priced.
Lovely white fish, excellent green beans and carrots. I'm not a big fan of cooked carrots and these were delicious. I could have lived without the dried up potatoes and the rather tasteless baked tomato. Next time I eat here I will order the same fish but ask them if I can substitute a baked potato for these dried up little puffs.
Wonderful Restaurant! Comfy dining, great menu selection. They even have choices of "lighter fare" which has slightly smaller portions at slightly lower prices! Famous for their Whitefish, and the Lake Perch was outstanding! We loved it! Friendly service too!
We had a great meal at The Galley. We were looking for local Michigan fish, and The Galley didnt disappoint. The broiled Whitefish was fantastic -- perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection, the Lake Perch were excellent, also. The service was fast and professional. The decor is quaint, and hasn't been updated in a while, but that's what I'd expect from a UP tourist town. It kinda adds to the experience, in my opinion. If you are staying in Mackinac City, it's only a 15 minute drive to the Galley, and it's definitely worth the trip. It's fun to go over the bridge, too! The prices are very affordable, also. We will be back!
Minimal wait on a Sunday evening. Walter, our waiter was so fast and attentive, even though we were a large group. The broiled whitefish was great local fare, and they have a good selection of local beers and wines as well.
Typically I would add a picture but I ate my food so fast I forgot to take one. Trust me you won't go wrong stopping in for dinner.
