I've eaten at the actual restaurant once and ordered through GrubHub twice, overall, great quality food. Ravioli was a little dry in the center, but the flavor of their meat sauce is delicious. Salad is fresh, bread is delicious, lasagna is delicious. My husband enjoyed his pesto dish and calamari. We will continue to order from here.
Normally not a fan of some of the old time red sauce Italian places that have been in business for ever. This was an exception the sauces weren’t heavy and very tasty. Food was very reasonable priced and portions were just right not crazy big. The mushroom soup was wonderful, much more Polish tha Italian, a nice surprise. Worth coming back too.
Frequently visit this restaurant with family. Owner is fantastic - can be found cooking and serving regularly by choice. Family run with "mama's" recipes including a secret sauce recipe that is amazing. Food is delicious and service is attentive. When visiting this restaurant you are treated like family from the door to the table and through the meal. Great for casual dining, special occasions and business meetings. Owner walks the floor and checks in with patrons at tables. Gets to know regulars and takes time to visit with them. Fantastic dining experience and food. Takeout is also excellent. Have never had a meal that wasn't good in over 15 years of dining there.
Loved this restaurant because the best Italian food is old school and this place is it, right down to Nonna in the kitchen making homemade pasta. So pleased to have found this place. Antonio introduced himself to us which was a nice gesture. This is the closest thing to the Chicago eateries I grew up enjoying. One suggestion, add pizza! It would certainly be delicious based on the amazing bread served at dinner.
The best lasagna I've ever had! Just had there fillet for the 1st time & was also pleasantly surprised! My fellow Polish woman at the bar who did my carry out, made my drink while I waited & juggled a million other things, was AMAZING!!! It's refreshing to find friendly people. Better yet when u have friendly people and good food. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.
