This is the most authentic Chinese you will ever eat! When you ask for spicy it’s is FOR REAL SPICY! Best dishes and best Chinese restaurant by a mile!
Love the new interior of this place. It feels much lighter. The food is still as delicious as always! We ordered General Tao's Chicken, Dried spicy fried fish, tofu and fish hotpot with sour veggies and salt and pepper shrimp. Made the mistake of not indicating shell on or off for the shrimp. We had wanted it off and assumed the dish we ordered as made that way, but it was not. The waitress did replace it but also firmly told us that we should be more clear when ordering. All are forwarded! The General Tao's Chicken was very delicious. The chicken was cooked to crispy perfection and the sauce was a lovely sweet and spicy combination. Wish there were more broccoli on the plate but the quantity of chicken was excellent. The fish and tofu hot pot was super! The fish was melt in your mouth tender and the sauce perfectly spicy! The dried spicy fish we dried for the first time and it was interesting. Delicious but interesting. The flavor of the breading was reminiscent of fish sticks but spiced up. Service can use a little work. We tried to get water after the meal and even though we asked for it twice, we never got it. Also, even though they had desert on the menu, they brought our check and didn't even ask if we wanted desert. The menu has been redone as well, but it needs to be fixed as it is not clear.
So so SO good. Try the cold noodle appetizer(s) and the Szechuan cucumber. Even the sesame balls for dessert were scrumptious. Service was great and fast. Love!
We enjoyed a lot the dishes here particularly the squirrel-shaped fish. Don't worry it's not shaped like a squirrel at all! It's so tasty and big and they even two sauces -spicy and sweet & spicy (prefer the sweet). Husband got a spicy noodle soup while I got the bean curd & fish in pickled sweet sauce. Spicy for my taste! But we reheated it at home and mixed with taziki so it became manageable spice-level-wise. Price is reasonable, place was neat and clean and staff was friendly. Lots of choices. This was referred to us by our friends and it was worth a visit. We'll definitely get the squirrel-shaped fish again.
I have tried the General Tao's and the Mongolian chicken both were excellent. The General Tao's with some of the best I've had. I also shared the crispy eggplant with a sauce and that was delicious. Definitely going to go back and try new things
