This was a first stop 🛑 of our trip and it didn’t disappoint! The beer selection was good. The food was good. I would highly recommend the “Whitefish Chowder” the flavor of this soup will not disappoint you! JUST TRY IT! I ended up have the fish and fries. They portions were good. My picture doesn’t do it justice, as I started eating then snapped a pic.
You can tell this place has some history being downtown and I always enjoy reading and looking at pictures of what it used to be.
Looking for some higher quality food and cool atmosphere, I highly recommend you check this place out.
Super cute place. Nice location! Great beer options. And a good variety of dinner options. Got the fired chicken sandwich, could have used some more spice kick, but it was flavorful and delicious. Tacos looked tasty as well. Highly recommend!
Sat at the bar counter and had great service. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was terrific. I opted for the maple glaze, which was really perfect to balance the little bit of heat. The roasted winter vegetable salad had candied pecans, and was tasty too. Very popular destination so use Open Table.
I want to give this place 4 stars for their bland coleslaw, but everything else was so good I had to stick with 5. We loaded up on whitefish; fish and chips and their whitefish chowder, which were both extremely good. Leave it to the Yoopers to always deliver on the fried goods, both the fried fish and the chips were cooked perfectly.
The vegetable/hummus wrap and spinach dip were both solid, and the goat cheese cheesecake for dessert was excellent. I had the Iron Bay IPA with my fish and chips which was also great.
Lastly, the view on the patio was a nice atmosphere to dine in.
All around, this is a great restaurant! We ordered drinks and my hot coffee and liquor combo was incredibly well mixed and brimming with specialty whipped cream. Our meals, the whitefish and chips and the spicy chicken sandwich were extraordinary. Be sure to try the maple cayenne sauce with the chicken sandwich. Plus, due to getting our new puppy ahead of schedule, we had to travel with him and the employees here accommodated the three of us on the patio. Thank you!
