NMU Fieras

Address: 1401 Presque Isle Ave Northern Michigan University Harden Hall - Lower Level, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Restaurant

“I'm back and forth on this place. As a vegetarian when I eat their quesodilla I don't seem to have an issue but I thought I'd be adventurous and order a tofu burrito, stomach pains for hours and tasted like chicken. I won't lie, it was really good, the diarrhea not so much. Pretty sure what happened was they didn't clean their grill before cooking the tofu. You guys have to be careful with that.”

Northern Lights Dining

Address: 1401 Presque Isle Avenue Northern Michigan University Connected to Woods Complex, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Restaurant

“The quality comes and goes, some days the only options are burgers that make me sick, vegan “food,” awful pizza, or a salad. Breakfast slaps, IF you can manage to make it there in time. I pay about $1500 dollars more than it’s worth though and the fact that we eat off paper plates and plastic utensils is a slap in the face. Very clear that their whole budget is spent on parents night and the holiday dinner, leaving us with scraps the rest of the semester. All things considered though it’s better than the food at all the other colleges I visited. They cook the vegetables so good. Extremely mixed bag. I’m”

Melted

Address: 1401 Presque Isle Ave Northern Michigan University C.B. Hedgcock Bldg 3rd Floor, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Restaurant

“I get SO bummed that this place is never open when I visit Marquette! When I lived in the area, this place was always jumping around lunch time. Melted slings delicious grilled cheese sammiches and the desserts are not something you're going to want to pass up either. Just make sure you are with a friend or you'll end up in a sugar coma. My favorite is the Italian Stallion. Mmmmmmm MM!”

SMOKD.

Address: 1614 Wilkinson Ave, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Restaurant

“My husband and I just had the pork sandwich and the double brisket burger. Outstanding! Juicy and flavorful and not all sauced up so we could taste and enjoy the flavors from the meats. These came with a healthy side of crispy steak fries, slaw, a bread n butter pickle spear, and fresh made lemonade. Well worth the price! I just realized I didn't take any pictures. It was delicious from the first look to the last bite that we gobbled them all up before photos could be taken. Next time. I highly recommend stopping by this food truck!”

Lake Superior Pizza Subs & Specialties

Meal delivery Meal takeaway Restaurant

“This place is a hidden gem, overflowing with gooey pizza cheese. 10/10 would eat again. We ordered the pig out-and while I would've liked to order a smaller size I'm glad we didn't. My husband and I ate all but two slices... so good! You could tell by the look of the cheese that this was high quality, and it stayed true bite after bite. After dinner, my husband commented that we need to go there again (and we're only in town for 2 more days). Only sad thing is they don't have a place inside to sit down and eat. Even some picnic tables outside would be ☆service☆.”

Rice Paddy

Address: 1720 Presque Isle Ave, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Restaurant

“I've been eating at the Rice Paddy for 20 years up until I moved away. Tonight was my first time eating there since Aoy sold it. I read about the disappointments others felt and was apprehensive about giving it a try. I love Aoy, she catered my wedding forever ago. I was afraid my nostalgia would get in the way or that the food wouldn't be as good as it used to be. My fears were entirely unfounded. I absolutely loved my dinner. I got Pork Pad See Eew, a shrimp egg roll and a bowl of hot and sour soup. The Pad See Eew isn't like any other Pad See Eew out there and it never has been. I ordered it perfectly in the middle of the spiciness levels and it was perfect. I loved every bite. The egg roll was huge, fat, packed, greasy, hand rolled and just awesome. It was one of the best egg rolls I've ever had. The Hot and Sour Soup. It was one of the best tasting things I've ever eaten. Aoy's Hot and Sour Soup was my favorite food for years. Now this is. It's so awesomely good. It's really spicy, tangy, packed full of cabbage and tofu. It was as good as it gets. Nang's isn't Aoy's. It's Nang's and it's really, really good. I wish I still lived here. I'd eat this every week.”

Villa Capri Italian Cuisine

Address: 2100 US Hwy 41, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Restaurant

“The music was too quiet, the lights were too dim. The people behind us used phone flashlights to view the menus, although it didn't bother my party. The food was overpriced. My husband and I split an entree, had one dinner salad, and couldn't make it out under $30. There was also a credit card surcharge, which wasn't notated anywhere on the menu but was included on our bill (4-5% of total bill). The food portions were also small for what we'd expected. The $7.5 antipasto salad (see photo) was underwhelming. As a positive note, they made their own tomato sauce for the Ravioli, and that was the stand out point of our experience. However, the $4.5 meatballs were not anything to brag out either as they were smaller than your average cookie dough scooper. Our service was quick, as they had a big party coming in soon after us. When it came time to pay our bill, we kept getting overlooked, which made our exit about 10 minutes too long. The breadchunk (as opposed to breadsticks) could use some tweaking, but when they were dipped in a sauce, they excelled. Overall, it was a cute place to stop while in town, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.”

Smoothie King

Address: 1422 Presque Isle Ave, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Meal delivery Restaurant

“Great little business model! Stopped in here on our way out of town. Ordered a couple smoothies and some sushi. First of all, the menu is fantastic! So many choices on both sides. The prices are definitely reasonable, too. Got a fairly large smoothie and a spicy tuna roll for $15. Not too shabby! The staff was very friendly, but there was a bit of a disconnect in communication between the smoothie side and the food side. Everything was delicious though, and I'll definitely stop in again the next time we're in Marquette.”

Temaki

Casa Calabria Restaurant & Lounge

Address: 1106 N 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Night club Restaurant

“This restaurant is one of my favorites in the area. Can’t go wrong with what you order, all of the food is delicious. The garlic bread is out of this world, and the pizza baked spaghetti (picture below) is a definite favorite. Nice drink menu as well, love the strawberry daiquiri! Always recommend.”

Java Bay

Address: 1102 N 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Restaurant

“Wow. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say this is one of the best breakfast places in Michigan. All of Michigan. Me and my wife stopped by while traveling through the UP on our honeymoon. We split the breakfast burrito and farmers omelet. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Coffee was also phenomenal. We ended up talking to the owner about business and our aspirations of wanting to move our own business to the UP. This will forever be on our list of places to stop while in the UP and hopefully someday we’ll become regulars.”

Thai House Restaurant

“To say the food was good would be an understatement. Everything about this place was a treat. The food was so good we couldn’t believe that we ate it all (we usually save some for leftovers). The staff was super friendly and fun. Jade completely made our evening and gave awesome recommendations. If we are in the are again this place will require a repeat visit.”

Fish Express

Address: 1034 N 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Restaurant

“The Fish & Chips are the bomb! Perfect crunch with a thick, tender, flavorful bite. The coleslaw is cool, crunchy, creamy, and full of flavor. The fries are the best in Marquette; thick, crispy, seasoned just right, not too salty. Finally, the hush puppies are bite-sized pieces of heaven. Well done! Cheers!”

Restaurant

Vango's Pizza & Cocktail Lounge

Address: 927 N 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Restaurant

“We're visiting Northern Michigan University and our tour guide recommended their pizza and waffle fries. We forgot about the latter suggestion but the pizza was good. Not the best pizza I've ever had but it was good. I'd definitely get it again. We also had their potato skins and their onion rings. My wife also got a garden salad. Everything was eaten by the three of us. The staff was quick, friendly and helpful. The only lower rating I gave it was for atmosphere. It is a long standing business but it does not seem at all updated.”

Togo's Marquette's Original Submarine Sandwich

Address: 1000 N 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855, USA

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“What an absolutely slamming good business Togo's has! Well worth the brief wait to get our hands on these delicious subs. My husband grew up in Marquette and, while in town recently, we grabbed a couple of #15 subs. He was hoping the reality of the subs would live up to his memory of how good they were and he was 100% correct! Fresh, soft bread, quality ingredients (not too little, not too much!), and the best hot peppers ever! It was so good that we also grabbed a couple on our way out of town to keep up happily fed on the road. If in Marquette, make no mistake, this is one of the best lunch items. Grab some and go down to the park on the water. You will not be disappointed!”
