Great food, friendly folks and fair prices. Pretty great job on their Detroit style pizza as well. It isn't Buddy's or Cloverleaf, but it's a fantastic rendition of my beloved Detroit pie. Not very greasy either, which was a big surprise. Very well executed! Stop in and try it for yourself. And please leave the whining and nitpicking at home! “Awesome experience. I came to Michigan to bird hunt. The rooms were clean and comfortable and what you would expect. Price was very reasonable and the staff was kind and responsive. It's not the Ritz Carlton, but that's not what you come there for. You come there to have a safe & clean place to lay your head and get a meal. Most of the time I spent outside enjoying Michigan. My dog was allowed to stay. The owner was very kind and professional and made sure my stay was comfortable. He went out of his way to make sure I felt welcome. I will definitely stay here again and I will bring friends and family back with me. I wish Mike the best with his business.”

“We visited this bar in hopes of finding a watering hole with pizza. Exactly what we were looking for. The bartender was so sweet and friendly, the pizza was really good. I also want to mention that I ended up forgetting my debit card on the counter, I didn't realize for days and had gone home to Detroit. I called and one of the workers found my card and mailed it back to me promptly. Thanks again! We definitely will visit next time we are in town.”

“I had the most relaxing and enjoyable experience during our mini vacation! (Over night.) We went on the elk viewing ride, a horse drawn wagon that held several people, and saw the beautiful elk that they raise here. We were accompanied by a knowledgeable gentleman named Stu. He was also quite the comedian, and had me laughing throughout our journey. At the back of this beautiful property we stopped at a log structure that was beautiful inside and out. Before going in we took pictures with our horses ?. Once inside we were treated to wine tasting as enjoyed our 5 course dinner! Everything was hand made in a century old wood burning oven.”

Great pizza, the grinders are off the chain and that one of a kind Michigan Salad. Tim has turned this local place into an up north treasure. We've even stayed in a room when our parents place was "too full" of family. When you stay you get lake access and room service!! The Lodge is a sure thing.
