“Ignore the negative reviews. They're predominantly from whiny downstaters that need to be coddled, catered to and find anything they can to gripe about. Nothing but 5 stars from me and my family. Great food, friendly folks and fair prices. Pretty great job on their Detroit style pizza as well. It isn't Buddy's or Cloverleaf, but it's a fantastic rendition of my beloved Detroit pie. Not very greasy either, which was a big surprise. Very well executed! Stop in and try it for yourself. And please leave the whining and nitpicking at home! If you are a distance away from this establishment, don't be surprised your food isn't piping hot when you get it home! Simple science dictates that food does in fact cool off! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆”

“Awesome experience. I came to Michigan to bird hunt. The rooms were clean and comfortable and what you would expect. Price was very reasonable and the staff was kind and responsive. It's not the Ritz Carlton, but that's not what you come there for. You come there to have a safe & clean place to lay your head and get a meal. Most of the time I spent outside enjoying Michigan. My dog was allowed to stay. The owner was very kind and professional and made sure my stay was comfortable. He went out of his way to make sure I felt welcome. I will definitely stay here again and I will bring friends and family back with me. I wish Mike the best with his business.”

“We visited this bar in hopes of finding a watering hole with pizza. Exactly what we were looking for. The bartender was so sweet and friendly, the pizza was really good. I also want to mention that I ended up forgetting my debit card on the counter, I didn't realize for days and had gone home to Detroit. I called and one of the workers found my card and mailed it back to me promptly. Thanks again! We definitely will visit next time we are in town.”

“Michigan Salad! Michigan Salad! Michigan Salad! Did I mention the Michigan Salad? We love the Lodge. One of the best places in town. Great pizza, the grinders are off the chain and that one of a kind Michigan Salad. Tim has turned this local place into an up north treasure. We've even stayed in a room when our parents place was "too full" of family. When you stay you get lake access and room service!! The Lodge is a sure thing. Spend some time in the bar and read the signs, they are sure to entertain.”

“My family owns a vacation cabin in town, and we used to come visit several times a year, always making sure to stop by and eat here at least once. Ever since, this place has remained a favorite and certainly a highlight of every trip made. Always satisfied with the staff interactions, atmosphere, wait time, and most importantly the food itself. Certainly the best chicken strips I’ve ever had in the 10+ years since we first tried them, and even just yesterday I ate there for the first time in 2 years after not vacationing in awhile and couldn’t have been happier with how everything felt and tasted. An absolute small town treasure and one I would wholeheartedly suggest anyone from vacationers, passerby’s, to even just someone in the area who’s never given them a chance to try for yourself!”
