“Omg the yummiest guilt free treats at Planthropie!! The kombucha is so fresh, love the nitro too. The cakes are impeccable made and so delish, yes it is pricey but everything is meticulously made, from scratch using the finest ingredients! I love picking up a box of cheese on route to a dinner party, everyone loves it!”

“Dunkin Donuts has lost a lot of their appeal, but certainly not at this location. Even during the Woodward Dream Cruise, they were fast and the coffee and donuts were fresh and good.”

“Cute little brunch spot downtown Birmingham. Does get busy as morning goes on and can be hard to find a table. The grilled cheese is REALLY good. Can’t go wrong.”

“I order from this location frequently and they are always fast and the orders are accurate. If they are running even a few minutes late they will call to let me know. They were about 10 or so minutes late recently, not a huge deal at all, and gave me a free bakery item to apologize! I thought that was so nice and great customer service.”

“Cafe Succo... Coffee was okay. Not bad but okay. When I buy coffee out, I want it to be the best, not okay. When I asked if they had a dark roast (strong) coffee they said that their customers say it's not strong. They offered to add a shot of espresso at an additional charge to make it strong. Instead I got a cappuccino, it was okay. I want great. Staff was polite but never even bothered to ask if my cap was good or if it gave me the bolt I was looking for. Nothing. I expect better for Birmingham and the price. I'll go back next year and see if thay have improved.”

“Menu limited and more than 4 items were not available at 1230 pm, lunch. I only ordered tomato bisque, was cool. Not hot and not cold. Sent back and was immediately taken care of. Other part of the group's food looked okay but that's it, just okay. Can't judge by one visit which to me states there's hope. Very original theme and is decorated in kind. Kind of had a look of garage sale decorations but then went completely in other direction with more appropriate crisp, clean decor. Felt like the whole experience was neither here nor there. It's historical value was interesting and old Kresge I believe. The drinks have potential, the atmosphere good the food won't be going back for.”

“Cakes are great and their buttercream is to die for. Their lunch offerings are great quality and value. In particular, if you want a quick snack but don't want to go to the hotel restaurant for a sit down this is the place to go. Their bisques are amazing.”
