Nutz About Chocolate

My husband got a box of chocolates for me from Nutz About Chocolate for Valentine’s Day. It was packed with my favorites, which he picked out, and was extremely reasonably priced. It was by far a better deal (both in price, quality and presentation) than the heart boxes you get at the grocery store.

In addition to the chocolate box, I purchased a few items there for my husband for Valentine’s Day (neither of us knew the other had stopped at the shop). I got the chocolate covered strawberries that were the best I’ve ever had- and I must admit, I really do love chocolate covered strawberries and have tried many different brands. Then box I purchased had 6 very large, red chocolate covered strawberries that had the perfect amount of juice. These were clearly made within hours of buying them, and that freshness made the presentation and taste extraordinary. I also got the “milk chocolate bacon box.” The box had two types of products. One was chocolate cover bacon strips - and combination of crisp bacon & chocolate is wonderful. The other was chocolate covered pretzels, peanut butter and bacon pieces. That was unexpected and delicious. We already love the chocolate covered peanut butter cups at Nutz, but these were simply amazing.

All-in-all, Nutz About Chocolate is a fun store to poke around, has gift boxes that are well presented and thoughtful, delicious chocolates and cupcakes, AND they get their raw materials and packaging from sustainable resources. In addition, I stopped by the shop around 5:30 pm on Valentine’s Day, and the owners, Tina and Joe, were pleasant and patient with each customer (and there were many)...even after what I can only imagine was a VERY hectic shopping day (seeing as how Valentine’s Day is all about the chocolate and flowers!).Thanks Nutz About Chocolate for a great Valentine’s Day shopping experience!

How have I missed this store for so long?!? The chocolates are delicious and eco friendly. Everything has a milk or dark chocolate option. My peppermint patty didn't even make it home! I can't wait to try some of the cupcakes! Plus the owner was incredibly friendly! She answered all of our questions and made sure we could find things easily.

Great products and hospitable staff! The chocolate is of high quality and worth the extra $$. The effort put in by the owners comes through in every tasty bite. The shop is warm and inviting. They also communicate well regarding their hours of operation and bend over backwards to help people create amazing custom confections. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a treat (and ignore the ridiculous, unwarranted bad reviews on here with unrealistic expectations).

This is by far the best Small batch / Homemade style candy I have ever had...... but those cupcakes.... I can't say enough. I do not know what they do to them, but the flavors are amazing. The perfect moisture and density in the cake. Oh, don't forget the icing!!!!! I love going in there and the owners are so welcoming.
