“I've been wanting to try Barry Bagels since it first opened, I got to do so last weekend with a family member. We got two bagel sandwiches and two hot teas. 1 Lox and the other turkey pastrami, they were very mediocre, nothing that would excite me to go out of my way. Bagels were smaller than your typical bagel, when comparing. One thing that i was not expecting was the cost, for the 2 bagel sandwiches and 2 hot teas our total was $33.47! I eat out a lot, and I've have had my fare of bagel sandwiches, both fancy, and on the go, but I've never spent that much before on a bagel sandwich. After paying the total I realized I could have went to a brunch spot for the same cost. On the plus side the staff was outstanding and extremely kind, that's the main reason for giving a three star and not any lower. I really wanted to like this place, I love supporting places in my city of Troy, especially when they're down the street from me. However I was disappointed unfortunately.”

“A HIDDEN GEM. Cute cafe, unique menu, and the space itself is cozy and perfect for studying. I highly recommend the affogato. Affordable prices. Norman, the owner, is AMAZING. So kind. You can tell he and his family have put in a lot of effort to make the cafe as beautiful as it is. He handmade a lot of the furniture himself! I even had my pet with me outside and he came and brought her a bowl of water. 11/10 recommended and I will be going back again :)”

“My new favorite casual dining spot in Troy! I have picked up food five times since they opened right before the pandemic began. I love everything I have tried. Everything seems very fresh and homemade. 50/50 mix of Hummus and the tahini is the way to go. I put it on everything they make. The family platter feeds Me, my wife, and our three kids with leftovers. It is the best value in the area hands down at. The staff is great. A long time employee, Conrad, has come in to help train new guys and get this location off the ground. His customer service is top notch.”

“I went during the soft opening, so I expected my experience to be unique as usually happens when a restaurant still has its training wheels on. First I was blown away by the interior. The wine tasting bar is incredibly spacious and boasts a great social atmosphere. The dining room was filled with beautiful lights, crisp clean tables with plates and utensils neatly stacked. Our waiter was very nice although he did seem a little preoccupied with something the entire time he spoke to us. The food was absolutely incredible and well well worth the price. The wine collection is very extensive at this restaurant and the wine tasting attendants are friendly and knowledgeable. This is one establishment I can not wait to go back to.”

“Not a huge fan of fast food because I am a health freak but when on the run sometimes I resort to the grilled chicken snack wrap unsweetened Ice tea or an iced coffee which are my three favorite items on the menu. Sometimes the snack wraps are made fresh and other times the lettuce is old and starting to brown and the ranch tastes off but in general still a great option to fall back on. For cheat days their chocolate chip cookies are amazing especially when fresh.”

“Went to Gateway on the day they opened and had The D burger: it was so good that I wanted to write a 5-star review immediately but the location was not yet showing on Google Maps. Now I can do so, obviously! I have been back several times since and have not been disappointed. Our most recent discovery has been the chili, which is hands-down the best chili that I have tasted at any diner ever. It tastes homemade, which is a compliment. It is extremely rich in flavor and is definitely a must-have. The staff are great and the owner has come over to the table every time that I have been there to get feedback on the food and ensure that everything is satisfactory. I really hope that Gateway Deli is successful, because the standard of food that they put out means that it certainly deserves to be. Looking forward to more deliciousness in the near future!”

“Seems like every time I'm there the place is pretty much empty -- which is disheartening because their pizza and grinders are fantastic and the staff have always been pleasant. This particular restaurant is located in a small, multi-unit complex right next to the MJR Troy theater so it's convenient if you're looking for a bite to eat before catching a movie. If you haven't been to a Bellacino's (there are several) and want a nice, quiet place with good food be sure to visit.”
