“Let me start with the fact that the service was exceptional. Several regulars arrived while I was eating, and the staff was particularly friendly and accommodating. The dining room is a bit dated and small, probably no more than 12 to 15 tables with a couple of them tight in a corner. The food was good but nothing to rave about, but was prepared quickly. The omelet had very fresh vegetables, and the pancakes were OK.”

“Cafe Succo... Coffee was okay. Not bad but okay. When I buy coffee out, I want it to be the best, not okay. When I asked if they had a dark roast (strong) coffee they said that their customers say it's not strong. They offered to add a shot of espresso at an additional charge to make it strong. Instead I got a cappuccino, it was okay. I want great. Staff was polite but never even bothered to ask if my cap was good or if it gave me the bolt I was looking for. Nothing. I expect better for Birmingham and the price. I'll go back next year and see if thay have improved.”

Other part of the group's food looked okay but that's it, just okay. Can't judge by one visit which to me states there's hope. Very original theme and is decorated in kind. Kind of had a look of garage sale decorations but then went completely in other direction with more appropriate crisp, clean decor. Felt like the whole experience was neither here nor there. It's historical value was interesting and old Kresge I believe. The drinks have potential, the atmosphere good the food won't be going back for.”

It was an afterthought of mine so I appreciated it. 4 stars instead of 5 only because they gave me flavored coffee instead of regular, but hey...people are human. It was still excellent coffee. Like I said though...the absolute KINDNESS oozing from the folks here is infectious. They always make me want to be kind to the next person...hence the add on smoothie.”

“The one in downtown Lake Orion 5 stars. The one in Auburn Hills near the Palace 2 stars. Why do different McDonald's have different pricing? Every morning I get an Egg McMuffin and tea. The one in Auburn Hills cost me almost a dollar more. The Auburn Hills McDonald's is the only location I've visited, including visits recently to other states, that does not offer tea under the dollar special.”

The manager was checking on customers, delivering food to tables with his team, and maintaining an extremely positive attitude the whole time. All of the employees were polite and friendly. “I’ve had krispy Kreme donuts my whole life and it’s often a treat my family and I look forward to when we come over to Michigan from Canada. Today was my first time ever going inside (we usually go through the drivethru) and it was so much fun! Watching the donuts get made and the interaction we had with the cashier was just so great. Her name was Denise, and she was AMAZING! So friendly, knowledgeable and just overall a joy. I will go back to this location just to see her again. -well and the donuts!”
