“We love the Double JJ Resort. We've stayed several times. The indoor water park is just the right size. We loved the small wave pool at the entrance to the lazy river. We were a bit disappointed that most of the carried features in the toddler area weren't working. We missed out on snow tubing because the snow had melted. The Sundance Restaurant is beautiful and the food is great. Our amazing waitress April remembered our drink order on our second night. We did not use the stables this trip, but have gone on trail rides and carriage rides in the past. The resort also has glow in the dark mini golf and a small arcade. There are a wide variety of room sizes to fit your every need. Some of the smaller rooms have no windows, though. I felt that our room could've been lit better, seeing it lacked a window. As an inside room, it was also a bit too warm for my tastes. I had to turn on the AC in January to cool it to 70. We were disappointed that pool passes weren't included in the room, especially when we noticed a fee for amenities on our bill.”

“This was our first time at Hightower tonight. We came for the Wednesday special of a 14" pizza with 3 items & pitcher of beer for $15.00! It was so busy. But we got a table. Our waitress didn't say much, but did the basics. The pizza was thin yummy crust with 3 toppings that were very good. There's also a nice balcony for some seating that overlooks a little lake. We'll be back.”

“Service mediocre at best. When you order Mexican food, they don't mess around with the cheese - they give you plenty. Mexican food is always a good stand-by here. Perch is always good too. A friend ordered a rice bowl but it was much more a salad than anything else. A few others had burgers which were good also. Server seemed nice but had too many tables. We had to ask for drinks, refills and to have plates cleared. Beer selection (craft on tap) wasn't too great either. We are seasonal people and have been there dozens of times.”

“This was a great place to eat. We originally were going to go somewhere else but they were not open so we stopped in here. We got their (now) new Chicago deep dish with ham to go. It was a great pie! The ONLY reason I gave them 4 and not 5 stars is...even though their crust was absolutely delicious...I like mine with a little more crispy on the outside. I would and most likely next time I come through Pentwater would get another pie or try a grinder.”

“On a nice day the deck is a great place to have drink and listen to music. The food was average at best nothing special based on what we had which was our only time there and we basically ordered bar food of a burger, Caesar salad and my son had chicken strips. Our salad came with a salad dressing package similar to what you’d get at a make your own salad at a grocery store. I asked about fresh fish but it was all fried no other option. We had just got off the water from a rough boat ride from Frankfort so I ordered a double jack and coke and I had to ask if they made a double because it tasted mostly like a half shot with coke.”

“This is a great place near the Silver Lake sand dunes. It is located on a nice golf course. The golf is a bargain. The bar/restaurant is cozy and clean. They have great pizza and subs. Come up to play on the sand dunes. When you are done come here for a pizza, round of golf and a bucket or two of craft beer. Relax with friends, family or just yourself. You will want to come back again.”
