Double JJ Resort

We love the Double JJ Resort. We've stayed several times.

The indoor water park is just the right size. We loved the small wave pool at the entrance to the lazy river. We were a bit disappointed that most of the carried features in the toddler area weren't working.

We missed out on snow tubing because the snow had melted.

The Sundance Restaurant is beautiful and the food is great. Our amazing waitress April remembered our drink order on our second night.

We did not use the stables this trip, but have gone on trail rides and carriage rides in the past.

The resort also has glow in the dark mini golf and a small arcade.

There are a wide variety of room sizes to fit your every need. Some of the smaller rooms have no windows, though. I felt that our room could've been lit better, seeing it lacked a window. As an inside room, it was also a bit too warm for my tastes. I had to turn on the AC in January to cool it to 70.

We were disappointed that pool passes weren't included in the room, especially when we noticed a fee for amenities on our bill.

It was nice place if you were on a budget. The tickets to the water park was $35 per person.The water park was small. The hotels were decorated like cabins/rustic. It was decent and clean. Nothing great. Nothing was nearby so it was hard to enjoy outdoor activities. Not restaurant were nearby. We ate at the food place inside the water park area. They had an arcade and putt putt mini golf course.

The Double JJ resort was the perfect venue for my wedding. We held our wedding and reception at the Back Forty barn lawn and dance hall. From our first visit and all the way through the planning process the venue coordinator Brandy was nothing but wonderful. Every question was responded to quickly, every alteration to a package or add on was given careful consideration, and she always made me feel like we were a top priority. Our day went seamlessly and we heard nothing but great things from our guests. We had many people stay in the thoroughbred suites and some stay in cabins and they were all pleased with the accommodations as well.

Absolutely loved the back forty cabins. Just incredible. Very clean and well kept with many amenities to use. My family loved the games provided like yahtzee. They loved the loft room for all the kids. Firewood was delivered right to your cabin. Walking distance to the cute little town. Ice cream was delicious. It was quiet and relaxing. Many things to do around the area. Definitely recommend them. Just wonderful experience for our first time.
