The Pine Squirrel Bar & Grill

I got the pork sub , started out good with slaw served ON the meat as it's supposed to but that's where it ended . Roll was stale [ toasting may have helped but not proper ] and one would expect more tha 2 oz.. of meat for a $10 sandwich... beer was cold and wife loved the taco salad. Waitress was not properly trained and as stale as the roll .

We went there based on Trip Advisor. Food was great and service was even better. Nice atmosphere and kid friendly.

I'm from Canada and our local client suggested the Pine Squirrel for supper and it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, we started with the pretzel dip, which was one of the best we've ever had, and had an amazing burger as my entree. The service was incredibly friendly and I loved the atmosphere of the place.
It's also closer to our hotel, Fairfield, than I thought!

Blustery, windy and gray day so we headed out for lunch after a paddle boat ride on Otsego Lake.

Server, Amanda, came right over to take our drink order (early lunch so just tea this time ????).

We ordered the buffalo shrimp to start and Amanda was quick to inform us it's a dip with pita bread..we appreciate the clarification! Everything came out hot and it's very blue cheesey tasting, but Amanda did warn us. Plenty for 2 people to share.

We then ordered the Blind Dog (2) to share. The dogs are pretty big, I couldn't get through one. I had the beer cheese on the side, I'm not a fan, but hubby said it's delicious.

Great food, great service, will definitely stop in again when we are in the area.
