“What a gem of a place...looks like an average hunting bar Cafe on the outside. Really nice and cozy on the inside. Bar area was really nice but we ate breakfast at the Cafe. Lots of choices. Generous servings and fun wait staff. That's going on our must stop in for future travel adventures First time I ve ever eaten a full farmer's omelets. 9 hours later...still full.”

“The food was okay. There was only about 5 items on the menu. We got the #1 and #2 meals with sausage links. The sausage links were not the best but okay. The eggs were cooked good, we got them overeasy and the yoke was perfect. We may be a bit bias, but the coffee was a little on the weak side. We like strong coffee. The price seemed a little high for the amount of food we got. (Suggestion for the restaurant: Waffles and or french toast would be excellent additions to the menu. Both for adults and children.)”

“Fantastic RV park in the middle of the UP of Michigan. Lots of space for our four toy haulers. Grounds are very well kept. The bathrooms and laundry are very clean. The WiFi is really good. We did some site seeing and trail riding while in the area.”

“We've stopped here a couple of times on our trips between MN and MI. Each time we're greeted by super friendly staff, the food is consistently good, prices affordable and bathrooms clean. Definitely recommend if you're looking for an easy-going place to get a sit down meal while on the road.”

“Nice place to eat, nothing fancy about this restaurant, but its clean and staff is fast and friendly. My wife had the cod fish and I had the Button Bella burger and the spicy pickle fries. Everything's delicious and the portions were good, but the cod had too much breading on it so that got peeled off. The server noticed it and comped $8.00 off the meal. New cook. One major problem was no domestic draft beer. Could be a deal killer.”

“Had their whitefish fry with seasoned fries. Food was prepared perfectly. Although busy, food was served promptly, staff was friendly and tavern had a warm and inviting atmosphere. A bonus was the drive out with all the fall colors lining the road.”

“Very clean and friendly staff. We had steak and cheese Stromboli some deep-fried mushrooms and fried pickle chips and I think this is my new favorite place to go. The food was excellent with huge portions. It is well worth the money and I highly recommend it …I will definitely become a repeat customer.”

“I reluctantly went here not expecting much. I have to say pleasantly surprised. The staff was super friendly. Very pleasant atmosphere. I had a big meal planned for later so I only ordered deep fried mushrooms but they where excellent. My brother ordered a hot dog and fried cheese curds. I was able to watch the hot dog being made and the care I seen taken u would have thought they were preparing a filet mignon. He said the dog was very good and I tried the cheese curds they where great. They have a very broad menu with everything from salad to steak to perch baskets and the prices where great also. Can't recommend enough.”

“Came in on a weekday and heard from others that both the Big Boy and another restaurant in town were closed that day due to staffing shortages. The two ladies working the front of the packed house were busting their tails non-stop. Most people realized and understood, a few did not. The food was above average (I had fried walleye) and the beer tap selection was terrific.”

“I haven’t left a review in years but had to because this place was SO GOOD!!! I don’t know why the shrimp po boy was so damn good but it was probably the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Perfect combination of whatever was on the sandwich. Perfect. I was there a few days ago and I’m still thinking about it… I’ll have to go back to Manistique just to go back here. Whatever you guys are doing keep it up!!! 🤤”

“Very nice pub. We had a brisket sandwich and a cherry walnut salad. The overall building has a lot of old and eclectic things. I had a great conversation with the cook, who is an older gentleman, and shared some great stories about the area. He is a great cook and interesting person. We would definitely recommend this place for food, or a few cold beers.”

“I love this place. It's the best China king I have gone to by far. They are so nice and are very efficient and they barely take that long to make their food! They are a very lovely family and the food tastes amazing. I definitely recommend. 😍”

“Real, slow smoked Texas brisket and slowed smoked pulled pork is amazing. The fajita steak and chicken is awesome. Owners are originally from the southwest and spent a lot of time in Texas and New Mexico. All the sauces are good but the quesadilla sauce on the fajita chicken tacos are the bomb. In response to another review: they are a seasonal food truck that parks at the Chevy dealership with permission.”

“Big boy: good. Nosy, judgmental eavesdroppers who need to relax: hilarious to mess with. Yeah, I felt you stiffen your spine at my comments; that’s what you get for being a loud jerk in the first place. I really enjoy the chicken and waffles, and the salad/food bar is usually golden standard. I haven’t had luck with the soups, I’m sad to report, but I’ve seen plenty enjoy them. Locals love it and it’s perfect for visitors to find some comfort food. Seriously wonderful fresh fruit. Oh, and it’s lovely to see the lake out the window and watch kids play on the wooden toys outside. Just across the highway is Carl Bradley memorial park along Lake Michigan, and you MUST check it out after you chow down!”

“Not bad for a smaller casino. Most of the staff is very nice and helpful. The payouts here are pretty low but it is a casino. Just a place to get away for a few hours.”
