La Taqueria Ann Arbor

I was expecting this place to be like the other street taco places where you pay 6$ for a tiny taco that won’t fill you up... I was so wrong! The tacos are big, I’m glad I only ordered two. Also I was also super impressed that it came on a freshly made corn tortilla!!!! Yum.

La Taqueria is modern, clean, and chic. The ambiance is similar to a sit down restaurant fusion with fast casual. I sat at the bar where you can watch ESPN and/or enjoy an adult beverage; although, I did not order one. Next time. The staff were warm and pleasant.

The food was prepared quickly and was hot. All of the ingredients are fresh, including the lemon garnish for my water. I ordered 1 of each vegetarian taco and a shrimp taco. They were DELICIOUS! The fusion of ingredients balanced well together and the ecstatic was beautiful. The only draw back is that the tacos did not neatly hold together (specifically the shrimp and portabella mushroom tacos). However, they were both so delicious that I did not mind using my fork!

The food was delicious and Alyssa was great, despite being the only server on a very busy night. Food and drinks were slow but worth the wait. Very accommodating for some dietary requirements and the food exceeded our expectations. Would definitely be back.
