This place is very good. I been coming here for five years. And within that time they upgraded. But place was always clean. Variety of food from the buffet. Hot, fresh delicious. The sushi is fresh and has a chef there but I only seen them during the day. I am not sure at night. Serves large family's.
A highly recommend Chinese restaurant in Ypsilanti Michigan, -China Palace Restaurant. Buffet , dimsum, hotpot all in one place. Loved their dim sums, very authentic! Great atmosphere with very traditional Chinese decorations. If I visit that area again, I'll definitely go back!
China Palace has a large selection in it's buffet, including lots of seafood options, American Chinese dishes you know & love, picky eater options like cheese sticks and chicken tenders, a sushi bar, fruit, salad, and brightly colored desserts. My kids love eating here.
It's not a bad Chinese buffet and it's currently the only one in town. But you must go when they're busy -- Friday and Saturday nights -- for the best experience, ie, freshest buffet food. Sadly, the soft serve machine is gone.
On the weekend, at lunch, you can get real dim sum, wheeled around on a cart. You must tell them you're having dim sum because there's a separate dining room for it.
Staff are attentive and the decor is grand -- nothing bland to see here!
I frequent the place since my family loves coming here every time it’s a holiday. Am familiar with many of the staff and owners. I recently came here with my boyfriend for dim sum, and am disappointed to see that the environment has declined. If you are not familiar with the dim sum rush and system, it will be a surprise and seem like a mess, but an organized mess nonetheless. Food was a bit dry, like it had sat for awhile (we arrived about 15 minutes after opening) and a bit bland. Everyone assumed I spoke Mandarin and immediately went to ask me about the dishes and ignored my boyfriend. Staff were still very nice but overall it’s what you have to settle with for dim sum in Ann Arbor.
Good ambience and nice staff, we had buffet dinner that is served until 9:30. If you love sea food, then this is the place. If you go for buffet you do sacrifice a little bit on the taste side but you get to eat as much as you like. The regular order(not buffet) tastes better. On the price end, buffet is $11 or $12, can't remember exactly. Overall experience is good. Buffet also includes sushi, which is very nice. Their buffet chicken, lamb, beef and pork dishes are great too. Caution: If you are not a big fan of sea food, better go for chicken, pork, beef etc. dishes and soups as the sea food here is overwhelming in variety.
