My wife and daughter ordered the London broil. Both of the London broil were less than warm:( they reheated one then it was over cooked.
The shoe string fries were limp, probably cooked in old grease. My fried chicken was good. The bacon wrapped chicken liver appetizer was dry and tasted funny.
Not a good experience:(
The waitress was very apologetic and she was a very good polite server. I would have left a 1 or 2 star if it wasn't for the chicken and server.
Management never once came to the table to offer an apology.

Delicious food! Best home style food I've had in a long time! Waitress was not super friendly. Never got drink refills. Only checked on us twice with minimal engagement. Made us feel rushed.

Great food! Old, old building that's a teensy bit spooky, but the cheerful waitstaff and good food balance it all out. I love creepy buildings, though.

There's parking down the street and also behind the buildings. Across the bridge is Riverside park, and a playground is at the other end.
It's not super fancy dress, but you'll feel underdressed if you're sloppily dressed. Maybe a normal shirt and nice jeans that are clean and fit well? Like, no sweats. No dress code that I know of. Chicken is great smelling! I had a delicious tuna salad sandwich, and part of my son's grilled cheese - yum! I'd like to go for dinner some time.

Something for everyone. Family friendly but they have a nice bar too. You can get a great $25 steak or a $10 burger. Their fish is surprisingly really good which i did not expect. Our favorite server is Julie who is friendly and fast. My daughter likes the mints.
