Gun Flint Tavern

I got an old fashioned and fajitas with smoked chicken. It was all tasty. I got their standard old fashioned. They offer middle or top shelf upgrade options for an additional $2/$4. Their basic old fashioned is good. The fajitas and their presentation were excellent. The portion is generous (4 large tortillas worth). The sliced peppers (red and yellow) were delicious in the mix. It comes with shredded cheese, sour cream and salsa. It would be better if they doubled the portion of salsa - and perhaps offer a medium hot option. The spice level is very mild as it is. The vibe of the Tavern is welcoming. It offers great views of the iconic harbor and Lake Superior out the large from windows. It’s a great place to meet up with friends or family. Free parking available on the street. I appreciate that they have nice tunes playing in the background and no TVs to distract from conversation.

The first time we went wait time was too long we decided to leave. This time we were seated immediately. Our server was nice and friendly, she helped us decide on our items. The food is delicious, and the portion size was generous. It’s a bit on the pricey side but given the quality pf the food it is worth.

Even though it was very busy, our server was very friendly and took his time with us and our order! The food (especially dessert!) was delicious! Absolutely LOVE the coconut rice and the Maui sandwich! Would certainly return! If you’re coming in the summer months, be prepared that it could be a while before you can get seated!
