Houlihan's

Very cozy bar booths on a cold, autumn evening. I like 2-4-1 beer deals and generous wine pours (w/carafe). Had a great jambalaya, and they provided me with a large bottle of Tobasco to keep it super spicy. Their fish & chips features quite a generous fillet. They do, however, serve coated FF, but at least they're seasoned. Excellent service; sports screens; plenty of parking; great acoustics; competent bar and hostess staff.

This remains among my favorites as a place where you get food that is a step above casual with unusual and thoughtful menu items. The booths are comfortable, not cramped. The service is a step above and a full service bar. The meatloaf is a fantastic dinner and an unusual offering these days. With all of the trendiness of plant based meat substitutes, many are not really that healthy. The bean based burger here is tasty, doesn't try to be a pseudo burger but stands up well as simply a different flavor profile that is quite good. Don't get here that often but whenever I do I find myself wondering why I don't do it more often.

I truly enjoy all the food I've had here, great service, but I can't stand when places have 2 for 1 drinks and they serve them 2 at a time, so now I have to chug the first one so then other isn't warm by the time I get it? It's 3pm and I have to drive so can I space it out?
Other than that stupid move, I am a big fan of Houlihan's.

The food and the atmosphere was great. Our waitress seemed a little overburdened with the amount of tables she had but otherwise did a fantastic job. My burger was amazing and her salmon was done well. Prices are a little on the high end but at the same time the quality of the food is well worth it. I ordered a brandy Manhattan and it was prepared very well. The staff there seems to know what they're doing. I would gladly return there again.
