It was the highlight of the event I was indeed gratified by the seasoning and careful distribution of spices. Definitely need to visit the restaurant and try their menu. “Lovely small restaurant and coffeeshop for Somali food. Informal, an extended seating area in the back, seems to do substantial carryout business from what I can tell. Don't expect it to be fancy, but it's a good value and I've always had great experiences with the people who work here. The bread and beans (in the breakfast section) are wonderful and vegetarian and very filling, regardless of what time of day you're wanting to eat. And the tea with milk is classic Somali tea, which, if you've never tried it, will remind you a little bit of a chai latte -- sweetened and spiced.”

“Went on a Saturday, the place was packed but we got a seat fairly quickly. There was a performance by a cover singer of Juan Gabriel, he was very good. There was also a live band right after and they were amazing. The food is delicious, the beer is at a good price, and the staff is nice. I would only suggest to be careful on weekend nights because when I was leaving there was a big fight in the parking lot and we saw someone pull out a gun and aim it in the air, followed by someone trying to run them over. We left as quickly as possible after that and haven't returned, but probably will soon more than likely on a weekday.”

Delicious, authentic tacos, great salsa with a kick, I shared elote corn in a cup (huge portion of corn with cheese and spicy chili powder) with a friend who also had great tacos and perfect fried sweet plantains with a bit of crema (sweet and condensed milk). We chatted with the woman who took our order and she was super friendly. I can't wait to go back and try more off the menu! Super reasonably priced as well.”

“There are MANY signs both inside and outside of the store saying you MUST wear a mask inside. I went in to try the gyro fries and a couple other things from the little take out restaurant thing in the back. The gyro meat tasted like it had been sitting for quite awhile but the fries were great! Good cheese curds too. Haven't tried anything else yet, but the man from whom I ordered food had no mask on at all which seemed odd because of all the signs. He was nice enough though seemed a bit stressed. Will update when we try the pizza!”
