“We went for breakfast. Family style. You get eggs, choice of meat (sausage, bacon, ham), hash browns, orange juice and pancakes. It's all you can eat pancakes. You get to choose how many eggs you want at the beginning. The food was good and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. The property is really nice and the gift shop has some interesting things for sale. The woman in the gift shop is really friendly and that's also who you pay for your meal before going to the dining room. The wait staff wasn't as friendly as she was, but all in all it was worth it.”

“Ok, first let me apologize for the "half - eaten" photo of our food, but, I was so hungry and the food smelled so good I couldn't wait to try a bite. It was wonderful! Excellent smoked ribs with a highly complimentary sauce, fall off the bone tender - yum. The Roadhouse Mac n Cheese was a perfect match with a mixture of brisket, peppers, onions and two tasty cheeses. OMG, heavenly! Of course the service was superb - Lindsey was an expert in local area news and at taping a delicious Bemidji Brewing IPA for us while we reveled the food and spacious seating on the deck. Nevis is an enjoyable resting place that has quaint shops and parks. Check out Wolffworks gallery also. Marcia and Gary are incredibly talented and over the top Minnesota nice. Thanks Iron Horse and Lindsey for a memorable afternoon. We will visit again!”

“I took my neighbor to LaPasta this week for her birthday dinner. We had coconut shrimp for an appetizer, so delicious! We both ordered a glass of wine, very complete wine list. We each ordered a seafood dish and tried a bite of each other’s. Both entrees were excellent!! You get a tossed salad bowl and bread sticks. So good and enough to bring home for later. I have been to many Italian restaurants across the country and LaPasta is one of the best. If you are in the area try it I am sure you will be pleased!”

I only gave 4 stars though because every time we order take-out something is missing. Last time it was the baked potatoes. “Love the pies ?, would have got five stars, but due to covid-19 and the popularity of this pizza joint, there was not that many spaces to park and so I parked in front of Subway by the Highway and Rocky's and never got called for my pizza. Please, call me next time. I was right in front of your window the whole time, literally 10 feet away. Anyways, my pizza was sitting for 20-25 minutes because no one cared for getting that pizza out and chalked it up as a no show without calling me. I don't like to eat my pizza piping hot out of the oven burning my tongue, but I also don't like to chew on my greasy cheese lukewarm.”

Service was great and my husband might be back just for the house bbq sauce and the maple aoli from his Beer Cheese Pretzel Burger (I enjoyed the refreshing balance of flavors on my Walleye Tacos).
