Forest Lake Restaurant

First time here and absolutely loved it. Great atmosphere, overlooking the lake, and love the menu. I can't wait to try more.

The hunting group I travel out west with each year from Michigan is always looking for a good place to eat on our way out and return trip back. After numerous swings and misses we have found it!
What a nice venue which includes phenomenal service, great food, large portions, and phenomenal prices. Tonight three of the four of us had the grilled halibut special and it was awesome.
As an added note, we called hours ahead and gave the best approximate time our GPS said we would be getting there, and the hostess quite confidently told us she would have a table for us. When we got there the parking lot and side street were packed with cars. To her word, we were seated immediately!
Lastly, a huge shout out to our server Michaela as she was easily one of the best servers I have experienced.
Based on our experience tonight I would give this restaurant a five star review. Looking forward to the opportunity to eat there again!

A step back in time with awesome food ! Reservation is a great idea
We had prime rib ( get there early ! ) , and shrimp . The wild rice soup was so delicious on the rainy day we were there
Awesome waitress too!

Liked the wood interior and big windows. Service was fast and friendly. The German Rueben was so good I will make a stop every time I can get near Grand Rapids!

So delicious!! We have been traveling all around Minnesota and this was the second best restaurant and eating experience we have had.

The coconut shrimp salad was amazing. The chimichanga was huge. And the steak was done perfectly (medium rare with a great sear).

Wait staff was attentive and very friendly.
