Loved it! The best burger in Rochester 16 times is no joke. The fried onion blue 1/2 lb burger was amazing. Hefty price but they were worth it. I'll get the same thing over and over again. The other photo is the wife's mushroom Swiss burger. I sampled hers but mine blew hers out of the water.

Highly recommend at least checking newts out! If not only for a beer and an app, or a sprite and a wrap! It's got me rhyming it's so good! The entire staff was amazing, dedicated, excited to talk about the food, and gave great recommendations! I ended up getting the chicken wrap based on employee advisement but let me tell you I'll be back tomorrow to try a burger! Fries were crispy and blue cheese you could tell was made in house as promised. All in all great food at good prices. Tbh $12 for good food ain't bad one bit in my book! The amazing service, filling food, and homie atmosphere was all part of the newts experience and I'll be back anytime I'm here in Rochester downtown to try something new. Big ups guys! Thank your staff for being awesome about giving honest recommendations on the food too, I'm not disappointed one bit.

First time at a Newts, and we absolutely loved it! The burger was juicy and very flavorful. The home cut fries were cooked well and had just the right amount of salt. The service was quick and friendly. We had to sit outside due to covid-19 restrictions so we were disappointed not getting to see the inside of the building. Will definitely be back if we ever visit Rochester Minnesota again.

An iconic establishment of Rochester Minnesota! The downtown location is upstairs (above the Mexican restaurant). They must be in association with one another as both names appeared on the check. I got The Dave burger. It was pretty good, but I would have to say the description was better. I was expecting some spice but it seemed more like a patty, BBQ sauce, and cheese. The staff and decor really make the place. I encourage everyone to try it out and see if the descriptions are accurate!
