Excellent food and service. Worth checking out in the cathedral hill area
Wanted to try out a new sushi place near us, and this location just opened up right off Selby. I was not disappointed!
I ordered the sushi sampler platter and was very pleased with the portion sizes. Very generous cuts of fish on these nigiri! Might get sashimi next time; the cuts were so big I couldn't eat them in one bite! I don't know in what world that would be a drawback, just something I thought I'd mention. Oh, the fish was fresh too, as I hope it would be at a sushi restaurant.
The atmosphere is great, it's a bit loud, but that is to be expected on a Friday night in St. Paul. The entire is a nice mix of traditional Japanese decor with a lot of modern elements thrown in.
All in all, a great sushi experience and I will definitely be back for more!
I am Japanese who grew up in Japan and these dishes reminded me of back home! Food was exceptionally high quality and tasted good. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Overall great restaurant!
We happened to stop in during their soft open! The space is lovely and we ordered drinks and sushi at the bar! Good service, delicious sushi. Prices are fair and our caterpillar roll was a generous portion! Will definitely be back.
Parking is easy in the lot next to the building, you can park in the Blair Arcade lot.
We had a delicious and beautiful meal at Yumi. Kate is a delight and made great recommendations to us. Armando makes the most beautiful plates. Beyond being pretty, everything was tasty. This is definitely a place to prioritize on your trip to St. Paul. The rolls we got were Titanic (Armando's favorite) & Tonka (Kate's favorite)
