“Yummy food. Fast and friendly service. Great atmosphere. I had the shrimp po boy and potato wedges. A large sandwich...I took half home to eat later. The shrimp were big and juicy with a wonderful batter. My husband had a cheeseburger and fries. Thick burger with a good grilled flavor. Got a piece of cheesecake to go. We'll go back again.”

“Great place to visit to purchase some excellent handcrafted chocolate. This was my second visit and I called ahead to order 2 lbs. of the dark chocolate covered orange peel and it was delicious. They sell lots of other chocolates made on sight. They also sell coffee, ice cream and some gifts. Behind the store is a pizza place and called Big Jo Pizza and it was delicious as well.”

“Fall golf at The Jewel in Lake City did not disappoint! For a price of $63 (18 holes + cart) the course was in great shape for late October golf in Minnesota! Cole, the desk attendant, was great to check in with and have a conversation with. 5 sets of tee boxes to play from, the bentgrass fairways were in great condition. The greens were in great shape as well and FAST! The Bluffside bar and grill was staffed nicely and the staff was prompt and courteous in their service! For the price, the golf, service, and quality of course, it couldn’t be better for the time of year!”

“In the past I order the broasted chicken. It’s very good. So yesterday I ordered to go a 16 piece of chicken. I asked if I could get 1/2 spicy and 1/2 regular. They told me they couldn’t do that. So I asked them if I ordered a 8 piece regular and a 8 piece spicy if they could. She said yes they could do that. ???? What the heck! Last summer ordered a pizza but 1/2 only cheese. They wouldn’t do that. It had to be the whole pizza. The food is good but the customer service is terrible. It’s customers that keep a business running. I use to tell visitors when they asked for a good place to eat and told them the bowling alley. I can no longer say that.”

“We stopped in for as light dinner and a glass of wine. Really a nice place, although the menu is a bit more like a bar menu - mostly sandwiches, and fried foods. They have a typical bar with some big screens that looked like a great place to watch a game, and a really nice dining room, all with the 31 mile view up the Mississippi River valley. I had the broiled cod Saturday special, which was very good, and tarter sauce was tasty. Recommend you stop in when visiting Wabasha.”

“There will never be enough good I can say about this place but let me start here: What a lovely little bar! The owners did a FABULOUS job sprucing up the place. We attended their soft opening and they did a phenomenal job. Of course, there were a few hitches and bumps, but that is to be expected with every new restaurant opening. We sat at the bar, and LADIES, there are PURSE HOOKS. The hooks are located directly in front of you (under the bar, out of sight) so you have the comfort of not having to worry about anything going missing while you enjoy a cold beer and good food. Now that I mention food... GET. THE. MOZZARELLA. STICKS. Oh LAWD are they good! Fried to perfection. They also have the best potato salad I have ever had in my 26 years of existing (my compliments to the chef!). For our main course, my husband had a burger and I had the lovely International Falls salad without chicken (because I chose a terrible time to become vegetarian, HA!). The salad was light with the perfect mix of fruits and walnuts. The only gripe I had was a waitress walking around, smacking her gum (open mouthed, not a care in the world) but that was more of a "personal" thing of mine. All around a lovely atmosphere and, if you have time to kill, they have an events room with CORNHOLE -- a Midwesterners place to be. 5 Stars, 10/10, would recommend over and over again!”

“I couldn't believe the food!!!! My goodness! I had the scallop dinner and my husband had the Walleye dinner. They were BOTH fantastic! The Walleye was delicious. My scallops were cooked perfectly with a yummy special sauce on it. The butternut squash was a perfect match with my meal.....but it was the potatoes that we couldn't get over! They were SOOOOO good! The seasoning is what made them so tasty! The owner/chef came out and visited with us as well. It all made for a lovely dinner and we will be sure to return!”
