Amazing food. Amazing service. An amazing philosophy of food meeting intention.
Kristi & Gavin have made this a staple of flavor for Winona area avid foodies. The menu changes with the seasons and moods, it's an incredible way to keep customer's engaged and admiring. This is one stop you don't want to miss as a fan of cuisine, locally sourced food, and quality. 👏🏼
This little spot deserves all the attention Winona can give it! Gavin and Kristie source everything locally, even making their own pasta. It's incredible! A thoughtful menu allows anyone to find their favorite dish.... including gluten free and vegan options.... and meat lovers, too! We loved every bite and can't wait to go back.
Granted, I’m Chef Kristi’s older sister… so it’s possible I’m biased. It’s also possible I’m her toughest critic. 🙃 I’ve watched her grow in her fascination with food for nearly three decades. To witness her and Gavin realizing their dream together and pouring their hearts and souls into honoring ingredients and Winona’s seasonality, it’s inspiring. I LOVE LOVE their creativity and attention to complementary flavors. I am deeply humbled by their commitment to the community and support of the surrounding small businesses, non-profits, and farms. I AM IN ALL THE FEELS. Oh, and the food is phenomenal. Truly. Here are just a few of my own pics from my [many] visits. I’m confident you’ll LOVE Heirloom — come visit! 🍅
This place is amazing! The owners, Gavin and Kristie, have obviously been chefs for a VERY long time and they definitely know what they’re doing! By making everything in house, including the noodles they put care to every single step of every single ingredient along the way to your dish! And on top of that it’s about as affordable as any other restaurant in Winona! Don’t forget to leave them a fat tip when you go, even though it’s counter service, because they are offering such good food at such an affordable price!
Fantastic! Stopped in for dinner after porting in Winona for the day, and was extremely pleased with our meal here. The menu is small (“boutique” is what my wife said), and the dining room is no-frills but the dishes are packed with layers of flavor and texture.
The homemade pasta was out-of-this-world good. The gnocchi plate with a pop of heat from the chili oil was absolutely fantastic twist on a traditional dish, and the pappardelle with eggplant was so flavorful and fresh. Thanks to the team at Heirloom for an amazing culinary delight. We have no doubt they will be successful in the long term, having only been opened for a few weeks as of this review. We will definitely visit again when in town!
