This place is already a favorite. During the quarantine, we have ordered carry-out a couple of times and--so long as your drive isn't too great--the food holds up well on the journey home. My favorites are the mixed greens salad (with its marinated, semi-sundried tomatoes), the mushroom medium plate, and the scallops over risotto. It's so easy to ruin a scallop and the chef never does. I can hardly wait for the doors to re-open!
Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Great service! This is "fine" dining w/ items individually priced (small plates, medium plates, large plates). Nicely renovated historic building. However, lots of hard surfaces make for a noisy environment, difficult to converse across the table. I had the mussels, which comes with bread of the day. Very good. My companion greatly enjoyed the fish special, Red Snapper.
I have been waiting for close to a year for this opening. I so far have visited twice. All dishes were done well and I have always been happy to pay for the quality and preparation that is clear in each dish. Space was great, perfectly lit and chairs were very comfortable. Would recommend and have recommended.
First time at the new location in Winona. Love the new space. The service is friendly and very attentive. I had the prime rib with smoked blue cheese and my wife had the lamb. Both entrees were wonderful. The smoke cabbage soup was pretty fantastic as was the exotics mushrooms. Still our favorite area place to dine and well worth the drive from Red Wing.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! At this point I've tried nearly everything on the menu over, well, more visits that I'd care to admit. We're OBSESSED. The drinks are delightful, I love the rose gold rush, my partner loves the beer selection. The food is amazing, its great quality and portioned so that you're not uncomfortably full when you leave, I love the burger and mussels (even though I don't normally like mussels). I've seen (the few) negative reviews knocking the price, and yeah, you can spend a pretty penny if you want to, but you can also get a really quality meal for a really reasonable price if you want to.
Ultimately, this is a huge step for Winona. A great upscale restaurant that ticks all the boxes and is downtown. We're lucky to have such a delightful place!
