Magnolia Grill

Went for dinner tonight. Put our name and phone number down and received a call 30 minutes later - exactly how long the host said it would be. Got seated and drinks came quickly. Wait about 30 minutes for food, but the place was pretty busy. I had grilled shrimp with zucchini and grits. Hubby had grilled catfish with grits and fries. All the food was good. Ordered bread pudding to split for dessert - super heavy on the nutmeg. A little goes a long way with nutmeg. Couldn’t finish it. Server offered us something else - but we declined. Would definitely go again if we lived locally.

The food was OK, the waitress was better. She was very friendly and attractive. The location is awesome especially at dusk when the sun goes down behind the bridge, the view is spectacular! Very romantic place to bring a date for a special occasion.

Beautiful location with friendly service, relaxed atmosphere and lovely view of the river. My husband had the etouffee and I had blackened catfish. Mine was a little heavy on the salt, but my husband’s meal was flawless. Overall we enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back.

We ate here for our first time and let me just say it won’t be the last! The fried green tomatoes were the best I have ever eaten. We ordered the chicken under the hill and pork tenderloin, let’s just say the were both good. But the pork tenderloin is now our favorite meal either of us has ever eaten. It was cooked to perfection and our waitress (Jennifer) suggested the strawberry vinaigrette to dip it in. I’ll just say it was melt in your mouth with an explosion of flavor!

The food was good, prices good, general ambiance is good... and the view stepping back out the front door is great! But, boy, is this place loud... The should require people to whisper.
