Because I couldn't decide on one item, I ordered a fried chicken salad and a cheeseburger. The food is delicious!! Very well seasoned! There was a little bit of a wait for the food but that is to be expected when your food is being cooked to order. And I will gladly wait for my food again. I will definitely grace The Family Biz with my presence again soon!”

“My friends and I did a thing today. We make a point to patronize black business as the only way to build our communities is to invest and also patronize them as the presence of beautiful, educated, minority consumers is important when changing the perception of an area. Today we went to “Hattie’s Chicken and Waffles”. Is conveniently located off the i20 exit minutes from “The JSU” main campus. The decor in establishment was quaint with an nostalgic ambiance in the heart of the city. It has an awesome patio (me and my friends, we love a patio) and great music. It was an entire vibe. I can definitely see the vision. Most importantly, the food was amazing. This was the epitome of soul food at its finest. The staff was great, very attentive and sweet. I highly recommend others try it out as we were told mimosas are being added to the menu for brunch. I can’t wait!!!”

“Y'all. Just amazing. Their food is incredible, and the people are so nice. I have been vegan for over a year now, and there are literally only two 100% vegan places in the area. Difference is, this food is delicious and good for you. Their herbal blessings sauce is like CRACK and sweet and tangy. However, the only thing was the fries tasted and looked like the frozen french fries you get at restaurants. I could be wrong, but I thought they made their own fries. I went on Thursday and chose mac and cheese as my entree and red beans & rice and stuffed mushrooms as my sides. Also got a side of seasoned fries with their herbal blessings sauce.”

“I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Everything exceeded my expectation. I purchased the jerk chicken rice and 1 jerk chicken egg roll.. paid a little over $18 but the portions lasted me over 2 days. Everything was very flavorful, tons of chicken with both food items, and I truly enjoyed the “hellifIknow” sauce. The sauce was delicious on my rice and also with my egg roll. I Customer service was very kind and I did not have a long wait. I will be returning to try more menu items.”

“The food hall was cute but the food didn't live up the upscale vibes there. The hurricane roll was good. But honestly for how much it was, it isn't worth. I've had my share sushi from mediocre to great quality. This wasn't my favorite. This roll with tip almost hits $20. Staff was friendly. Service was friendly.”

“I enjoy the atmosphere here, especially the patio. Food and coffee are so-so for me. I got a muffin that was still uncooked in the middle so I haven’t been too eager to try more. It seems that cleanliness has fallen off recently which may be due to staff shortages. On my last visit the sofa area and coffee table was covered with what looked like fur & debris and the rug looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in quite awhile. Patio outside could use a sweep and maybe a good pressure wash. And the trash can they keep on the patio could use a wipe down as well. Hopefully things can improve.”

“Really fun and entertaining bowling alley in Fondren. They have 10 lanes which can be reserved by the hour. Each lane gets a couch for seating. The food is incredible. Shoes cost $3 extra. The pins are attached with strings which decreases the time it takes to setup pins; although, it does slightly affect the pin action after contact. Not too noticeable though. All in all. We had a fantastic time and I’ll definitely be back for more.”

“My sister and I had dinner here tonight and I must say it was spectacular. Our server greeted us at the door with a smile & he was attentive during the entire visit. We chose the meat pies for an appetizer, the Wonjo for our beverage & the Ox Tail meals for our entrees. Every single component of our meal was amazing. The atmosphere was lovely also. We were planning our next visit before we even received our first dish. 10 out of 10 would recommend. ☺️”
