“The last two times I ordered here it wasn't too bad. Not as good as I'd like, but not as bad as my first impression, which was pretty bad, worse than the generic food at AM/PM Convenience stores attached to ARCO gas stations. Really bad. Service was quick and accurate, with tasty results instead of being cold and tasteless. Ultimately, far better than the MacDonald's across the street, attached to a Double Quick gas station and convenience store. My most recent visit, they actually had Root Beer. It would be nice if their pricing were consistent day-to-day.”

“Very fresh tasting Salad. Good Steak, baked potato and toast. Great old school place. I didn't give a 5 star because the menu $20 RIBEYE was $25 at checkout. The only explanation was that the price hadn't been changed yet on the menu. To be fair, they did adjust the final cost to $24.50 for each steak dinner. Also I would caution on taking a service animal. The older person working snarled quite a bit at my service animal but I stayed passive. It was all good. I would recommend papa's. The other employees where kind and nice.”

“I have eaten here several times in recent years. Less often since my Stepfathers' death in 2019 and the onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic, plus my own hospitalization in September 2020. There is usually a Soul Food Buffet on hand, offering barbecued rib tips, which is pretty good, though I typically get a cheeseburger and french fries with a drink. Service is good, prices are fair, it all tastes good. I'll be returning, once my car is operational again.”

“Not really my choice on service. Ordered large shrimp fried rice with extra shrimp with sweet and sour sauce, then when I went to pick my order up, no sweet & sour sauce at all, only 2 packets of soy sauce, then when I paid for my order, I was told it would be an extra $1.50 for sweet & sour. Was offered duck sauce instead. Bad service...”
