I got the jumbo bbq plate with bake beans and fried. Hands down the most wonderful and amazing barbecue around. I'm getting married this next month and they are gonna cater bbq at our wedding!”

“This used to be “Country Inn” now it’s “Simmer Down” the food is amazing. They give you a bowl of hush puppies that are delicious while waiting on your food. We had the steak for two and it was really good. It was full of flavor and juicy. Much better than it used to be under the previous owners ! My son had the chicken Parmesan and he said it was really good also. Extremely fair prices and the service was good. Really clean place inside and a friendly staff. Highly recommend that you try this place, you will not be dissatisfied. The owners are great people and are super friendly. Give them a try.”

“Our waitress was Ms. Beverly and we never needed anything to drink. She ran her legs off making sure our glasses were full. She was the most precious waitress we have had. She recommended the salad bar with fresh sliced cantaloupe as one of my sides because I could not make the decision on my own. The salad bar had a wonderful assortment of fresh choices. Lettuce, spinach, sliced eggs, potato salad and much much more. For our entree we went with the steak for two which was a massive Sirloin. We asked for medium rare, knowing we haven't had an steak cooked correctly in a while. Well it was! A steak that huge, textbook medium rare! It was delicious. The sweet potato fries were divine. The icing on the top of the cake, you ask? The lemon crunch and chocolate pie, a gift from God!! We were blown away with the service AND delicious food. (We have not been this impressed in a while.) We will be back and have told everyone that will listen!”

“Love the salads. The sweet tea is cold and sweet (don’t laugh...some places can’t pull that off????♂️). The waitresses are typically cute with friendly just being a bonus. And the pizza isn’t really a pizza. It’s a challenge generally presented to me that I lose after eating too much and getting sick. It’s hard to stop once you start and it’s a ton of meat, cheese, and anything else you desire. Enjoy!!”
