“The prices were kinda high and the fried chicken was somewhat dry but HEY! WHO am I to look a gift horse in the mouth? My brother and I were there from Texas for a family reunion, trying to save money, hungry and got turned on our directions. The pizza in the case was old and I don't know why he didn't order the chicken. By the time I came out of the restroom he had pumped $5 in gas and was in the car waiting for me. The nice Cashier had brought out a 4 piece chicken for us and gave it to him. He wasn't going to take it but she told him that it was going to go in the trash anyways when they cleaned the case. So to the ladies that worked that Sunday 10/30/2022, thank you very much, you actually helped us more than you know just by giving us 4 pcs of chicken. As we had gotten some shocking news that day no one in our family of 50+ people did not know the day before at/for our 15 year Family reunion.”

“Absolutely amazing food and service! On its own merit. But the owner is an absolute Godsend! 02-17-21 US-49 was closed/open/closed due to the storm causing wrecks and stuck vehicles. I sat in stand still traffic for just under 2 hrs and my clock has run out. Can't legally move other than to clear the roadway and find parking. Not gonna happen at a truck stop. That's when I came across 2 small restaurants with 4 trucks parked in between, maybe not a legal spot but have to chance it. Next morning, the road was open. The owner had been told her parking lot looked like a truck stop, and her reply was " I don't care let em park". She came up to check on her restaurant and told her employees to stay home cause of the ice. She and I believe her son offered to us to come in and get something to eat Eden though that were closed! And made food for me and my wife, and the other trucks that were there! AT NO COST!! We offered to pay but she refused politely and said if it wasn't for us truckers she wouldn't have any groceries for her restaurant! This beautiful soul is an absolute Angel! Especially seeing how she could have just kicked us all out! Instead she went well above and beyond!”

Since I went hm bragging...my roommate went and they had sold out of everything and til this day they cannot seem to keep stocked enough to serve. So much for bragging. IF I do order again in future...I will call first. I wouldn't advise going and be disappointed when getting there to find out they are out. They are not reliable I have learned. Sorry but true. “Passing through on our way to the gulf shores and wanted a non-fast food, non-chain, quick bite to eat. Great idea to get off the Hwy 49 beaten path to the Main Street of Mendenhall to find this gem. One man show with a chalkboard menu, cooking up some fantastic food. The well seasoned and crispy fried catfish in the poboy was awesome. Best potato salad we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend and please visit this gem.”

“This place is a secret and it’s a gem only told by “word of mouth” amongst the Simpson County natives. If you’re fortunate and lucky enough to taste of the food from this place you’re one of the fortunate ones. I would highly recommend this over any of the other place when it comes getting one of the best hamburgers for the price. Trust me!! Thank You Becky’s of Magee Mississippi!!! It’s just across the street from the Piggly Wiggly in the neighborhood right there by the school you’ll find it it’s quick off 49 and it only take you 15 minutes and you’ll be back on Hwy 49 eating your food going down the road. It’s worth the wait you’ll get through there faster and you will at McDonald’s I promise.”
