“PHENOMENAL service at this location. My family and I were traveling here from New Jersey and collect the Starbucks “Been There” mugs. One of the employees went above and beyond for us. There were no mugs outside on the floor display, however she offered to go in the back and look through the boxes to find it for us. Yes, you read that right. She OFFERED!!!! What a nice and pure gesture, especially on thanksgiving when things are busy and it is a holiday when they could have been spending time with their family. Aside from this extremely kind gesture, the other staff members were extremely kind and gave us exceptional service. Our drinks were ready in a very timely manner and we received service with a smile. If you are from this area or visiting please do yourself a favor and stop at this location. I was thrilled with my service, and in fact as a traveler I would say this is by far the best Starbucks experience I have ever had. Thank you so much, ladies! “We absolutely loved our stay at Anchuca! We stayed in one of the carriage house rooms. The environment was just what you would expect in an upscale antebellum bed and breakfast. It felt like we had stepped back into the 1800s. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there. Breakfast was a delicious variety of breakfast items served on one plate and was more than we could eat. Dinner was very elegant and classy. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back.”

“Solly’s has the best Tamales I have ever had. Just received a shipment from them today and they were just so delicious. My family and I all have swelled tummies and smiles on our faces. My mother remembers buying tamales from Solly when he sold them in a cart at the corner of Clay and Farmer street. They are as good today as they were then. “I always love the food at F&G, but the cashier they had this afternoon was very rude. She had no customers when I approached the food line yet she asked me "what you want?" twice in less then a minute. After I asked her about livers that were on the menu she became agitated and asked me if I wanted the chicken or not. I really was disappointed by her behavior because the owner has always been very friendly. The chicken is still the best around but the cashier infuriated me.”

“Had a wonderful catered dinner for 36 at On the Mississippi Restaurant in Vicksburg, Mississippi. As a tour guide for Astro Travel in Tallahassee on the return from our trip to Branson, I had booked a restaurant for dinner while in Vicksburg for the evening. Unfortunately they went out of business, so I needed to find another location for dinner. On the web, I found On The Mississippi Restaurant & Catering, which stated they did not serve evening meals. However, since they also catered I sent them an email to ask if they could provide our evening meal. From the time James Dillard answered my email and phone call I had no doubt in my mind he would give us a night to remember. James and staff met us at the door, had the room beautifully decorated for the Christmas season and began to serve salads, beverages, wonderful melt in your mouth roast beef, baked chicken, a variety of vegetables and delicious strawberry shortcake in a very prompt manner.
