“I have eaten here several times in recent years. Less often since my Stepfathers' death in 2019 and the onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic, plus my own hospitalization in September 2020. There is usually a Soul Food Buffet on hand, offering barbecued rib tips, which is pretty good, though I typically get a cheeseburger and french fries with a drink. Service is good, prices are fair, it all tastes good. I'll be returning, once my car is operational again.”

Due to my extremely bad sweet tooth I ordered a lemon cupcake too. Lorddd my chicken was so juicy, tender and flavorful. Fell off the bone before melting in my mouth. The cupcake was no disappointment. Each bite was moist, fluffy and had the sweet tangy taste of lemon in each bite. I'll be stopping by to get two more cupcakes on my way to the gym lol”

“The donuts are wonderful! They have some creative and flavorful combinations. I really enjoyed their bacon donut. It was by far the best bacon donut I have ever had. The key lime filled donuts were truly filled. Don't leave Scarlet's without trying their tamales. They are especially good when you finish a bite of tamale with a donut hole. The true treasure, here though, is the owner, Scarlet, whose family has been making donuts for generations. She is delightful and full of genuine southern hospitality. We look forward to stopping by again.”

“Great ambiance for reading or conversation. My latte was HOT, and took some time to drink, but it was good. There was sufficient indoor seating with tables for two, up to a tall table for eight, as well as two pairs of Adirondack chairs each connected by a side table for outside seating. The iced Chia latte was moderate in flavor -- not too weak, but not overly strong, either. They carry both Almond and Soy milk along with the various types of cow milk. I would definitely return here.”

“My wife and I love this place. Great staff and great food. Coffee is meh.... cookies and other sweet treats are great and of coarse the bagels are legit. A few times there has been a mistake or a problem and the staff have stepped up and made it right. No questions asked. Definitely recommend this place. “My order was 35 minutes late and my pizza was cold. I’m not complaining about the quality of food but when you’re weary from traveling, a hot meal is preferable. No complaints about the delivery person either, she was very pleasant. I give them somewhat of a pass since we are in a pandemic but maybe in the future, they could try to make sure they send the food hot.”
