The Roost Bar & Grill (Republic Rd)

Great food. Cold beer, amazing service. The Cowboy quesadilla is worth a stop. We haven't had a bad experience yet.

Every time we come here it's great. American pub fare. Great fried pickles, fantastic fries, great burgers and all your favorite bars on tap. They have pool, hoops, tvs all over and plenty of sports. The service is always top notch. And the prices are reasonable.

Monday night football with Kansas Chiefs playing & winning their game. Very busy night for the bar & grill. A lot of people weren't masking nor social distancing right after this past weekend when Missouri set a record for new cases reported.

Our server Matthew was excellent! Stopped by our table constantly asking if we were ready to order or if we needed anything definitely worked hard for his tips. But I don't think that was the only reason. Just a good guy all around. Everyone was suggesting the chicken because that's what the Roost is known for. However, I went the fish tacos. To my surprise my dish was very delightful! Just needed more fish in them.

They have some of the best burgers in town. They thick and juicy just perfect. They also have amazing onion rings. The staff is always helpful and ready to serve. They have a decent beer selection. If you are looking for a quick bite of comforting bar food this is a good place.

One evening I was down on the south end of Springfield looking for something to eat. With COVID and all choices are limited and it was getting late. Fortunately, The Roost was open and when I got inside to the bar I was helped by Caleb who I easily became my favorite person there. He was quick with my food and drinks, he was friendly and knowledgeable as well! Now I’ve eaten at the Roost on Sunshine and the food is good but Caleb REALLY set the standard for this experience. So much to the point I had to leave a review. He is a wonderful ex oof how the restaurant industry should operate!

The drinks are good. The food is the best! The ingredients they use seems to be better quality than other places. The service is at the worst, good. It's usually great or excellent. I have never had anything less than a great meal, good drinks, and excellent service.
