“Let me just start with the coffee, you can always tell an experience on the coffee, which was rich and flavorful. A very smooth drink to start off the day, not bitter or old, it was freshly made. I ordered the 3 car pile up, which oh my... It is something at first that looks quite intimidating and you wonder if you made the right choice, yet as I took bites of it I was so impressed with how delicious it was. Yes there was left overs and I'm so glad that I had some so I could enjoy it later. My dad got the Bigger Breakfast and the pancakes truly are plate sized and their batter is so good, something grandma would make from when you were a kid. I don't say this lightly however I feel that this is my new favorite breakfast place. The staff was great, our waitress was friendly and attentive to our table, she also wasn't afraid to laugh and talk a little bit here and there. Which I know is a different experience for everyone. I would give this place a ten out of five if I could. Try it, it was a win in my book!”

“The food was AMAZING, and our server Kristina was so nice and attentive. We tried the calamari, shrimp fried rice, and the Holiday special that came with crab legs, shrimp, potatoes, and corn. The dessert was great too! We got the fried bananas and raspberry cheesecake. The food was flavorful and did not disappoint! We are from KC, and this will definitely be our go-to place every time we come down this way!! Forget that place that serves the rolls!!!!”

“being visiting the area, didn't know good place to eat, so I went there by reccomendation by a local friend. You can choose take-out or dine in, we choose the latter. location itself is very basic, just table/seats without waiters, but boys, the meat is GOOD! we choose pulled port and burnt ends (the best part of the brisket) and it was definitely good choice. just be aware once they finish the daily availability (as it is cooked in the proper way, they need time to get the daily batch ready for serving), there is no more!”

“So glad that there’s finally an authentic Indian restaurant in the city. The menu offers wide range of variety like Indian street food, Indo-Chinese, South Indian and North Indian main course dishes. Their momos are the best I’ve ever tried in the States yet. We ordered Tandoori Momos and Samosa Chaat for starters and were amazed by both of those, the food tasted authentic, just like how I remember it from back home in India. It is a must go to place if you’re looking for the real authentic taste of India. Will definitely come back to try the other food items from the menu.”

“I am not vegan but my mammal allergy keeps me from being comfortable eating where there are not vegan options. Friendly staff and good vegan food, fast food style. I had the beyond burger with cheese no ketchup and potato salad. The food was wonderful! The burger had spinach, pickle and red onion. Amazing! The potato salad was good but I don't like sweet pickles so I would definitely have fries next time. I ate it all though because it wasn't overpowering. Their fountain drinks are good too. Not your standard fountain products. No high fructose corn syrup here. Only down side I found was a limited seating area. Didn't phase me to eat in the car but others may want a heads up.”

“Love this quaint little restaurant! I come at least once a week. It is quiet, but has a consistent stream of customers. There is a traditional Americanized Chinese menu, along with a more authentic Chinese menu. I ordered this ma po tofu from the latter. It is significantly more pricey than the regular menu, but these dishes never disappoint.”

“I’m not sure what’s going on with the haters on here, but this place is really, really good for just opening. There are always hiccups on an open and in my humble opinion, they are crushing it. All the food was above average, and the service was great. The pork enchiladas will be a go to for me for sure, and the Cantarito Margo was delicious. Definitely don’t read the bad reviews, they are baseless, and not based on the quality of food and service and should be ignored. I’m sure this place will become a Springfield staple. Awesome job guys! We will be back without a doubt! I do understand that the credit card processing fee is frustrating and I think they should change it by just raising the price of the food, then no one would know, but they are trying to offer a benefit to cash paying customers. If you don’t want to pay the credit card processing fee, then bring cash, more and more businesses are doing this because of the ridiculous costs of running cards.”

“The service and food were wonderful. My hubby had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, corn, roll and a salad. I had the French dip with steak fries. Our waitress was very nice and made sure we were happy with our food and made sure we didn't run out of water. Our entire bill was around $22.00. While other restaurants seem to be raising their prices too high, City Cafe is not! New favorite eating place! 😋”

“From the appetizers to the main dish everything was tasty and delicious it didn’t feel heavy neither felt too salty or with alot of condiments it was very good is is very pleasant for cold weather the pork was very soft and delicious the mozzarella surprised us with the asparagus but it’s actually very delicious. The egg rolls were crunchy but not hard you have to try them out can’t explain it much. Did not try any sushi but they looked very good can’t wait to go back and try sushi next.”

“The dining room was very clean and the decor was simple and elegant. The wife and I both ordered salad with our dinner the salad came out the same time as the dinner it had Saran wrap on top of it. I took one bite and it was very bitter and I looked at the salad and it was brown. When my lettuce at home gets that brown I throw it away should not have been served. My wife had Monte Cristo sandwich as it was good but was surprised to it see that it had cinnamon on it. The highlight of the dinner was the country fried steak or chicken fried steak it's on the menu two different places same just makes a difference if you order breakfast or dinner. Country fried steak was tender and tasty mashed potatoes seem to be real and the grave was good and I also had golden hominy. I got a feeling they specialize in breakfast items. Also I noticed the prices on the menu was very very reasonable I would go back to this place again I just don't think I'd order a salad. Should have been excellent the first time you charge us 5.50 a salad that's $11 for food we could not eat we could eat. If that's what you call an inconvenience.”

Made a Antiquing trip to Fair Grove, just so we could hit up this place on the way back home. No disappointment here. Great people, food and prices.
