I was visiting friends in the area and when asked what I wanted for dinner, I simply said "potatoes". I'm from Boston, so I have spent quite a bit of time at Irish pubs. Never in my life have I been so delighted by one from the second I walked through the door to the second I walked out! The staff (especially our server) was attentive without being intrusive, helpful with menu choices, incredibly friendly, kind, and accommodating -- helping to make our visit even more special. Our food was an incredible highlight -- I was expecting "pub food", but this was WAY better than that! The skill, knowledge, heart and passion that it put into the food here is mind blowing. From our starters (bucket of fries and boxtys) to our meals (fried chicken sandwich, fish & chips, and meatloaf) -- portions were made for leftovers and you knew from the first bite that this was not just "pub food" -- these were dishes were made fresh and with a lot of love and care. Everything was seasoned to perfection, dips and sauces were just right, the vegetables were bright and complimentary, the mushy peas were the best we'd ever had, and we had many versions of potatoes -- all of which hit the spot! We were treated to "Irish Celery" for dessert and got to meet/thank Brady himself for the amazing meal, who could not have been more gracious. I wish I had something this good back home. It's definitely a place to look forward to on my next visit and will recommended to for anyone I know headed to Kansas City!
Outstanding Food. Fish & Chips was Delicious. Large Portions. Decent Prices. Friendly Staff. Relaxing Atmosphere. Just down the street from BKS (Best Brewery in KC). Overall a great place for dinner.
Amazing comfort food! The boxtys are perfect, served with sour cream and chives. The steak and Guinness pie was top notch, and the cottage pie is just what you expect. We will definitely be back and try dessert next time!
Our first time at Brady and Fox will not be our last. Large space with open kitchen and a lounge seating area. We arrived at 5 pm on Saturday and could seat ourselves.
The menu is pretty extensive and there is something for everyone. The scotch egg was fantastic...watch out for the sauce it is served with..it will clear your sinuses.
The cottage pie and pot roast were both rich and flavorful. Both were enough for two meals.
Excellent value considering what others are providing for similar entree prices.
A fantastic addition to the KC food scene and neighborhood.
Fish and Chips, Lamb Pie and a Scotch Egg. Everything was delicious! Atmosphere is great, live Irish music on Sunday when we were there. Will definitely be back!!
