Reserve Restaurant & Lounge

We had a late night snack at Reserve, a restaurant in the lobby of the Ambassador Hotel in downtown KC. They have a decent selection of specialty cocktails and a friendly bartender, Nick. We had the olive and hummus plate ad barbecue meatballs - both were very good. They also had the difficult to find Blanton's bourbon, but Nick suggested his favorite, Wellers 12 year old that was very good. We also had a decent breakfast at Reserve the following morning.

This gem within our beautiful city is top notch. The food and atmosphere is amazing. The food is so delicious and freshly made to order. Everything is perfect from the food to the atmosphere to the staff. It shows that the details are not overlooked. What a wonderful little spot to relax and enjoy great food and handcrafted cocktails or a lovely wine list as well.

My husband, mom & I went to Reserve for Thanksgiving brunch and it was exceptional. My husband loves a big traditional spread and my mom's a vegetarian so it's a challenge every year to find a place to make everyone happy.

We were greeted warmly by the doormen and hostess. Our server was fantastic! Somehow I managed to miss her name but she was knowledgeable about the food and drinks and even the current state of the renovations - ha!

Nick is hands down the best bartender in the city and I will walk across hot coals for his decadent chocolate martinis.

Our family has a new Thanksgiving tradition but we won't be waiting until next year to come back to Reserve.

The atmosphere is stunning! The chairs and pillows are comfortable. I ordered some kind of pasta. The flavors were strong. There were many good sounding appetizers to choose. We had a delightful time. Note there is not any free parking in this area. Allow time to find a parking garage before coming to dinner.
