“Meh. Mediocre cheeseburger for the price. It's an average diner/cafe but the price is the killer. There was nothing special to justify the $9 burger to be honest. “We recently had a golf tournament dinner at Kascade so spent a lot of time there planning and getting organized. Our committee tried everything including pizza, appetizers, prime rib. Everything was delicious. The staff was so accommodating and handled 150+ guests with ease and a Mexican Style Buffet that was fantastic. We will definitely use their venue and services in the future and our family plans to put it on our regular list of places to eat. Well worth the short drive from Carl Junction.”

“Not a bad stop, but been in better. Had about four fuel islands shut down when I was there. Pretty good size parking lot, but it's pretty tight parking. Three of the four coffee pots were empty when I was trying to fill my thermos. Bathroom needed some attention. There is a Blue Beacon truck wash next door and a KW dealership just down the road. Been in better, just needed some attention to a few things”

“This Tropical Smoothie is fantastic! All of the workers are very friendly and knowledgeable about all the ingredients for the smoothies. You can definitely tell service is a priority here. Also, the smoothies are a little pricey, but the amount you get for the money is really good. In many cases, they could hold you over for a meal if you’re on the go or just want something healthy. This place is a great asset to Joplin, and I’m always glad I stopped by!”

“I cannot give Wise Guy's enough praise for their magnificent food. I dare anyone to find better Italian food anywhere near here at any price point, high or low, let alone for less than a fast food "value" meal. I grabbed a meatball to try because my parents raved about them and rightly so. It was a large meatball and with a salad, which I haven't tried yet, could be a light lunch on its own but I also had the lasagna and garlic bread. How does one describe perfection? I'm the queen of heartburn so I had prepared for the sauce but it was drinkable it's so delicious and not even a moment's issue.The pasta was layered perfectly with meat and cheese so it held up and didn't slip everywhere. Finally it's topped with the perfect amount of cheese, especially if you like cheese, and just enough sauce to make you crave a second helping even if you couldn't possibly have room for more. I've read comments that it lacks ambiance but I think it's perfect and some of the best restaurants have a walk up window and the sidewalk for decoration. Never judge great food on its location or decorations. If you are, you're missing out. They're a must try in my book. I would love to have remembered to photograph my food but one taste and I wasn't about to stop until the plate was clean.”

“The food is generally pretty good here, but it is also a bit on the pricey side for local pizza. The service on this particular night was poor. We were seated and ignored for several minutes while the one waitress assigned to our area was seated three times . It was trivia night so the other side of the restaurant seemed to be getting the service attention. I am not a fan of their 'chicago style" pizza. I have eaten at several Chicago establishments and this is not it. It's not a place to avoid, and their traditional pizza is quite good, I just wish the service was that much better or the price was that much lower. Need one to make up for the other...”
